  A wonderful visit (FlyBe Belfast to Exeter) to a most beautiful region.The hotel in all aspects was excellent, staff courteous, good manners,attentive and good at their jobs. A minor hiccup. - The staff were extremely good and nothing was too much trouble for them - due to staff shortages they were all multi-tasking but the good service was not lost. We particularly liked the head waiter/operations manager who always had a lovely smile and curteous manner for young and old alike. We loved our room that had a double aspect with far reaching views - totally delightful.

  We had a wonderful room with a triple aspect of the beach. It was well decorated and spacious The staff were cheerful, friendly and eager to help - nothing was too much trouble. The food produced in the bar was a delight cooked to perfection, particularly yummy were the scallops with a thermidor sauce and their creamy calves liver. The hotel was... what people say » right on the beach and the walk along the Esplanade was lovely and the day spent a Connaught gardens a relaxing time. There were also plenty of shop - The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts and lunches were very good indeed, good quality food and thoughtful presentation. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows and the shower was adequate. The owners had done a good job at modernising the inside of the hotel and the standard of cleanliness was superb.
