Blackpool Hotels

When we arrived at the hotel first impressions were clean, tidy and welcoming. Parking a bit iffy though if the hotel is full but there is no restrictions on the side streets. When we arrived at reception we had booked a family room but the gentleman on the desk had advised us that there was a problem with the family room we had book but he had already sorted the issue before arrival and gave us 2 rooms next to each other and changed our rate for us to reflect this. Arrived late after epic drive, only to find car parking a nightmare, ended up in front of the entrance abandoned! Staff very friendly, food in restaurant not as warm as I'd have liked, but we were very late and the kitchen was about to close. It tasted okay though, can't complain. The room itself was great, clean, tidy, fresh looking, can't fault it. Shower superb! The only drawback I could see regards the room, was that the walls were paper thin, and a lack of courtesy from other guests being n - Simon

first visit to this hotel for about 6 years and it was good then but imo the place has got even better . fantastic greeting at reception ,great help with our bags tothe room when wearrived at the room , twin family , we were very happy with the size , unfortunatly we were atthe back of the hotel so no see view . the beds were not made up for our children but a call to house keeping soon sorted that . on to the restaurant for evening meal , very impressed .carvery with one choice of meat and - Stuart

We stayed in the Charlton hotel for our 40th wedding anniversary, we were greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome by the hotel proprietors Kim and Mark. The room was very clean and comfortable overlooking the promenade. They also provide very good free entertainment. The excellent home cooked meals were of a very high standard and served by very friendly staff, and a good selection of drinks from their well stocked bar. Kim and Mark, their family and staff make everyone feel at home and ma - Julie

had a wonderful 3 day stay all the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was cleaned daily to a very high standard with clean towels and beverages. our only complaint was we couldn't stay longer - Kevin

We arrived in Blackpool with nowhere to stay and were looking for a hotel that looked "not too shabby"!! After looking at a few we "didn't fancy", we discovered the Barton and it exceeded our expectations by a mile! B&Bs in Blackpool can be quite old-fashioned but this one has a nice modern bar, with wooden floors and modern Jack Vettriano prints. We paid £40 for a double room - great value. The room was modern - browns and creams, immaculately clean with a modern shower - Victoria

10 of us stayed for 2 nights rooms a couple were on the small side however we did not spend alot of time in them, they could be rather hot but staff explained that it was due to the hot water pipes running under the floor which they were unable to do anything about advantage to this was that we were never short of hot water which can be an issue in some hotels - food was excellent, plently of choice and we highly recommend the lamb clear plates all round - staff very friendly and certainly made - Peter

Stayed at the Imperial for 2 nights to see the lights during half term. Having seen mixed reviews on here I was open minded as to what it would be like. The hotel is located at the north end of Blackpool away from the fish and chip shops and amusements but right by a tram and bus stop. On first impressions the reception and lounge were nice but old fashioned. Our family room on the 4th floor was OK, big enough for us but with an awful view of the kitchen roof and back streets, not a hint of the - Maurice

Well what can we say we had a fantastic stay here there were about 50 of us maybe more we held a meet here all friends for the internet sue and dave made us so welcome we had stayed there before terry and myself but 1st time with a large group and all was wonderful great rooms entertainment and food all staff very helpful indeed we are all going back again in november to do it all again all i can say is dont miss out on this hotel you will be back as we will thanks dave and sue for all you help - Mark

Just got back this morning after spending five days and it has been lovely, The rooms are spotless, food excellent and the staff are lovely. entertainment wise you can't fault it. We really enjoyed Buddy Lee and all the comedians especially Nicky Newson with his good northern humour. He had me in hysterics! We've stayed at this hotel many times and each time we are not disapointed. All in all we've enjoyed a really good break - Derek
