Over for the End to End. Hotel in a great location, helpfull staff, great breakfast to set you up for a days cycling. We were in an internal room that was clean and adequate and well serviced. Facilities are great but our swimming pool is a little bigger! Our children were in other accommodation and wished they were in this hotel! Hopefully we will return next year if we can. - Margaret

On entering reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast itself was very enjoyable with a relaxed atmosphere, so compliments to the chef and staff. Room was a good size, it had everything you may need available, loved the bathroom. The appearance on the outside and inside of the hotel was very clean and tidy. - torodes

Mount Murray Road, Santon, Isle of Man
The visual characteristics of this beautifully designed hotel and leisure complex exude all the trappings of a four star establishment of the very highest quality: the luxuriously appointed bedrooms, the state-of-the-art health and fitness complex and the elegant refinement of the restaurant, 24-hour room service and the informal ambience of the bars.

If you're looking for somewhere other than the the usual edge-of-town chains, then the Murray is, realistically speaking, your only choice. (There is another hotel just up the road but shall we just say that it's not one for out of town visitors). But this monopoly doesn't mean that the Murray is able to rest on its laurels. It has been extensively revamped (i.e. cleaned and tidied up) in recent years and now oozes character. The floorboards squeak and there are no spa baths or exercise rooms - Joan

I have to say that our stay at the Chesterhouse was great. Room was clean, staff were fantastic especially Kate on reception. Breakfast is basic but there was lots. Please bear in mind that the hotel is on the promenade and does have a bar underneath so there is quiet a bit of noise. Not all rooms have a sea view but that is the same with all the hotels on the promenade so ask for one when you book. We ere there for the Manx 2day trial and the hotel even put breakfast on an hour early so all the - Donald

We arrived from Northern Ireland to stay for two nights in this superb family run hotel (three rooms booked in total). The Superior rooms are spectacular and even the standard executive room (one of which we had for a smoker in the party) was of a very high standard. One of the Superior rooms even had a waterproof LCD television and sound system in the bathroom. Great for relaxing in the jaccuzi bath, one of which is fitted as standard in every room. An interesting feature is that all the rooms - Kim

This family-run B&B provided me with a friendly welcome, a clean and good value room, and a nice breakfast (full english was extra but a comprehensive 'continental' breakfast is included). The hotel is fully non-smoking which is a big plus for me, they have very sensitive smoke detectors so don't even think about it (someone set off the fire alarm one morning just by using an aerosol deodorant too close to the smoke detector!). There is free wireless internet throughout the hotel whic - Dean

Stayed in this hotel this week when my flight got cancelled. It's right across from the airport so was handy for my rescheduled flight the next morning. Rooms basic although there was only a small hand-towel in the room and no bath towels. Only 4 channels on the TV. Food was ok. This hotel is fine if you're stuck at the airport overnight and it's not designed to be a tourist hotel, so I would only expect the basics. Room was clean and staff were friendly, and I got internet access (not sure - Nicola

I have always been a fan of LetsBookHotel and they're candid reviews but having read the last couple on this hotel I have to say I totally disagree with them. This place is a truly hidden gem, if your looking for the corporate brand where they're out to screw every penny out of you and treat you like cattle then stay elsewhere, this has the charming independent feel and the hosts are one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever met who certainly go out their way to make your stay enjoyable. For - Julian
