The three rooms taken by our party were excellent, beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable and spacious. The reception areas, lounges and card room were likewise spacious and well-furnished. Real fires in the early Autumn give a special welcome. The staff were anxious to please and very pleasant at all times.The meals were very good with quality ingredients.

    The room was quirky inasmuch that it was on two levels with a beautiful refurbished bathroom, a dressing table area and wardrobe, then up four stairs to the bedroom and sitting area. Nothing was lacking in facilities. THe restaurant and bar areas were always busy and popular with walkers and visitors to the area. I shall definitely stay at Wateredg - The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really beautiful and well worth a longer visit.

    Excellent. The Staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. The Hotel was spotlessly clean, our room light and airy. - Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Friendly staff and a lovely room with a fantastic view. No complaints!

    Excellent, very friendly polite staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome,nothing is too much trouble. I do agree that the rooms are a little warm and the windows don't really open, but other than that we had a comfortable stay.     The owners were both extremely helpful and friendly. We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. Our room was just as the owner described and had views to die for. The food was very good, speedily prepared and well presented. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary.     The staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. The Mortal Man is a traditional old man set in beautiful countryside with some lovely walks near by. The food is very good and the breakfast menu is excellent, made more lovely by sitting in the dining room overlooking the scenery. The beds are comfortable, water piping hot for a nice soak in a bath... what people say » along with lovely "smellies" for relaxation! - We stayed in the four poster room for the second time, its so lovely with fantastic views. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. There's such a good choice for breakfast and this time we had dinner, wow gorgeous food Can't wait to go back again :-)

    A fabulous guesthouse! We highly recommend this lovely place to everyone. Steve and Vicky are very hospitable owners and personaly very nice people. One can feel they put their hert into this their work. They helped us a lot long before our travel by answering our questions (best choice of the Lakes tour, walking paths, arrival to WIndermere etc.)... what people say » . Steve kindly picked us up at the rail station upon arrival and transferred when departing. One can clearly see that they do their best for their gue - Ideally located between Bowness and Windermere. 10-15 minutes stroll either way. Steve and Vicky are the friendliest B n B people that we have met (stayed in over 12 other B n Bs). Invergarry is such a welcoming place. The bed was really comfortable. We stayed in a small double but this was a reasonable size for a couple of nights and didn't feel small. Breakfast was delicious - homemade muesli, jam and marmalade. Best breakfast that we have had in a B N B. Really lovely touches in the rooms -
