Cambridge Hotels

I am taking the time to write this review whilst in my wonderful room at the Hotel Felix. I am doing so lest any other potential guests are put from staying here by a recent negative and clearly unworthy review. Ignore it! I am well travelled and used to good hotels 4* plus worldwide. Last weekend we were at the Son Vida in Palma, 5 star gran lujo. The Felix is up there with the best. Had a wonderful time here - great room, really enjoyed breakfast and dinner, and won at golf! Came to a wonderful wedding here a couple of years ago so chose this hotel when I was looking to book a weekend away recently with some friends, for some shopping and golf. It's out of the city itself but in my view better for it - much better value, with the city and main routes easily accessible and a fantastic golf course as well. Nice relaxed bar and restaurant for the evenings with friendly, helpf - John

We travelled in a group of 12 females with 4 of us in each room for a Hen weekend staying 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. Check in was easy and unhurried. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Two of the rooms had towels for two people instead of four. We advised the staff of this on reception. Had a spot of lunch at the bar and on returning to the room, we found the extra towels in place in the bathroom. The rooms were clean and comfortable, not particularly big but plenty big enough for - Craig

We attended a wedding at the Sorrento and several of the guests stayed over night.....We spent two nights .....As stated before some of the rooms are very small ...as is the bathroom...but it was very clean and compact and I felt very comfortable there, even though the bed was a bit small.The bathroom looked as if it had been refurbished, nice tiles and a small bath with seat, which was also a shower. Towels were beautifully soft and white....Our room was quiet once the band had stopped playing - Gareth

I stayed here for one night using the self checkin which was simple to use . My room was comfortable , spotless and gave every attention to detail with an excellent booklet with information about Iceni house and its facilities. There is so much care here and some lovely touches which show how thoughtful the proprietors are eg chocolates, a fridge,and a very comfortable bed. This hotel is situated slap bang in the Centre of Cambridge on the edge of the greenspace of Parkers Piece. On arrival we were received a truly wonderful welcome from the receptionist. The first imrpessions of the hotel were positive but whilst our room was extremely spacious, decorated and furnished to a good standard, we found the following:- The mattress on the bed was shorter than the double base and was smaller than the a ordinary double 4ft 6in double size and it was extremly soft.
