Bristol Hotels

Having been built within the year, the building and rooms are all quite new and modern. After arriving just before midnight (admittedly we did get bit lost, directions provided not all that clear) there was no-one at reception, which is fine, the key retrieval instructions were clear and precise. Our (first) room was on the 3rd floor, a one bed apartment. As the rooms come with all the items you may need (pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc.) there were a few missing items. As soon as we entered this hotel, we were given a warm welcome by the helpful young lady at reception who found us a room that exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and is taken in the restaurant with its amazing views over the gorge and suspension bridge. We found all the staff (without exception) to be polite and efficient. Clifton village is undoubtedly the best part of Bristol with an array of excellent pubs and restaurants - Gary

Stayed for one night. Chose hotel as in city centre, cheap and they paid for overnight parking - bonus as most of them don't adding substantial cost to stay. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was clean and tidy. We stayed in a king size bed room but did not realise it was Canadian sized, so was more like a super king. Really comfortable. Double shower a bonus too. Wine glasses provided so decided to buy a bottle of wine from Tesco. Forgot a corkscrew but the bar staff were quite - Denise

The hotel is in a perfect location near to Whiteladies Road, which links staight into the city centre, universities and hospitals and close to Clifton Village with its individual shops, bars and of course the fantastic Suspension Bridge and Avon gorge. I was met by friendly and approachable receptionists, who were able to tell me plenty about the area and where to eat and drink. The room was very comfortable and I was surprised to find fresh fruit and a good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate - Trevor

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the halloween weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic - we wandered into Clifton village, and it's also just a short walk from the shops/bars on Whiteladies Road and Park Street. The staff were fantastic - we had problems with our car and the receptionist was brilliant in helping us find a garage. Breakfast was great, and we can also generally recommend the food at Racks, which is just a couple of minutes away. Overall this hot - Michael

Only a 5 min walk from Temple Meads, this Ibis hotel is only about a year old. As expected then, all the rooms are still looking new. If you get a front facing room you will get a good view of the trains and some building work. The back of the hotel is quieter and darker thanks to some empty offices close by. Rooms were very clean, bed was good quality. Breakfast was a cold buffet and offered lots of food ranging from toast, croissants and cereals to cold meat and boiled eggs. Tea, coffee and fr - Peter

We stayed in the Rodney after attending a wedding in Bristol recently. We booked about 3 months in advance and as a result got a lovely, very clean double room for £25 (£12.50 each!!). Although small and at the top of 3 flights of stairs, the room was perfectly adequete and access was not an issue for us. The reception staff were extremely polite and friendly and I was delighted with the hotel overall. The only comment I would make was that the room was very warm despite the fact that we had the - Jan

This is a great place to stay, right from the character of the place with interesting rooms to the fantastic staff. The rooms have interesting features, rather than the clinical rooms in modern hotels, They are also well equipped with tea making facilities, alarm clock / radio with Ipod docking station, wired ethernet LAN (Wifi is also available in the lounge / bar areas) and very clean. wev stayed in premier appartments before because of the great location,friendly staff,& everything you need in a appartment to make your visit comfortable & enjoyable.the lady who took our booking was very friendly & helpfull.dont really agree with a charge for a car space.the appartment was clean,comy,&everything you would need.brilliant location & would always use premier appartments for a stay.. - Janet

This place was modern, clean and a great value. We got two separate room for our "quad" request. Our teens had their own room and we're safely 2 doors down the hall. It's located on a river walk in a very charming area. A full English Breakfast was included! I couldn't ask for more - just an opportunity to return! - Rhys

One night stay with work at Holiday Inn Express Bristol City Centre. Arrived at the hotel at 23h40 after arriving off the train from London at Temple Meads. The hotel is a five minute walk from the station. Check-In was straightforward, given a room on the first floor. Twin room, well equipped and clean. It was quite a muggy night and the room was kept cool by the aircon unit as I entered. New flat screen TV with about 15 channels, Tea/Coffee facilities and good storage space and comfortable - Jane
