Bournemouth Hotels

Fantastic location in Bournemouth ideally situated in the heart of Bournemouth's East Cliff, and near to the east cliff lift. We had a real really large room. This was nice and clean but was begging to show signs of wear Delicious breakfast really good a real mans breakfast did not eat dinner at the hotel. The staffs were very professional and accommodating. We received great service and consideration from the staff. Often lacking in British Hotels! The town centre is only a short walk fro - Jacob

I recently stayed for one night to attend an event at the hotel. I booked over the phone and spoke with a very pleasant team member. On arrival although not many people around the receptionist appeared a little flustered-I went to the bar where the receptionist rushed in and appeared even more flustered-she promised to return to serve drinks-she kept her word and within 15 minutes drinks were served however no change in the till-perhaps the hotel is not used to guests wanting a drink in the bar - Janusz

My husband and I, with 2 very good friends, have just returned from a weekend spent at The Connaught Hotel, Bournemouth. The welcome on arrival was friendly and efficient and the level of service remained extremely high throughout our stay. Accomodation for both parties was faultless. Hospitality in bar and restaurant of a very high standard. We enjoyed a pleasant swim in the good sized pool and a relaxing time in the jaccuzi. We stayed at this hotel during October half-term school holiday with our 9 year old daughter. The hotel was full, which is always a good sign, with a mixture of family groups, business travellers, & couples of all ages. This is officially a 3* hotel but should be higher as it offers a great full service product including an underground leisure club with 18 metre pool, gym, sauna & spa pool. We recently held a three day conference at this lovely hotel which we filled to capacity. From the day I booked it to the last day, we experienced a high standard of professional service, the fullest, willing co-operation, innovative menus and excellent food, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas that we encountered, with cosy duvets and all white bedding. Feedback since the conference has been warm and positive. Stayed for a night on Valentine's Day. The hotel was practically full, but they offered two single rooms that were very reasonably priced. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were warm. Parking was a bit of a nightmare as all of the spaces were taken as well as much of the road in its vicinity. On quieter days this is probably less of an issue. We had food in the bar (poached salmon salad and sirloin steak) which was cooked well, flavoursome and not too expensive. There is a dancefloor - Marcus

I travelled down to bournemouth to attend a buisness meeting. I found the hotel charming and classic. The staff where freindly and helpful. The views from my hotel where outstanding, unfotunately due to my meeting I was up early enough to see the sunrise over the sea, which was beautiful. I found the restaurant very helpful as they catered to my special requirements. The hotel was situated close to bournemouth town centre which was great as I managed to get some last minute shopping done. Overal - Paul

The Durley Dean was a beautiful hotel, with modern, clean and well equipt bedrooms. The lounge bar is comfortable and atmospheric. In addition to this our party was able to use the Forest Suite a private dining room which held twelve of us comfortably and was decorated perfectly. It was however the staff who made our experience outstanding. The Chef designed a menu especially for us and the food was delicious, the events manager made sure all the planning was executed without a hitch and the Ma - Jeanette

We did not stay here but were part of a celebration dinner on a Sunday. I am unable to find fault with the public rooms and the wonderful meal we had. There were 24 of us to eat and the staff were excellent and proffessional at all times. We chose from the set menu at £14.95 a head. The food was very hot and cooked well. Often use this very good (gets everything right) hotel. Great for short stays. Rooms modern, very clean and comfortable beds. Lovely wet room power showers. Great hot buffet style breakfast with all the trimmings. More geared to business users but if you want to avoid the pot luck choice of Bournemouth hotels this is a great place to stay. Bags of onsite free parking and very friendly efficient staff. What more could you want? Only downside is they don't do an extensive choice for m - Sameer

We had an extended family get together and had a really good rate. The room we had was average, but the warm welcome we received from the hotel staff really made our stay. Very helpful and friendly, excellent with our baby daughter. The breakfast buffet was a bit tired one morning, but markedly improved the next. My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the East Cliff and we really couldnt fault it. We had a very clean,well equipped and spacious sea view room which was always a pleasure to come back to. We had a half board tariff and the breakfasts and dinners were excellent. Looking at the meal prices if you came into the restaurant ' off the street' they are exceptionally good value. On arrival we were greeted courtesly and friendly by the reception staff. Our room with seaview (as requested) was as described WITH FULL SEAVIEW, spacious with a large sitting area,well furnished,all facilities in full working order ,clean,in fact perfect. The restaurant service was excellent. Staff were attentive,helpful in every way ,smiling and chirpy making one feel welcome the whole time Generally a very run hotel. We shall indeed stay again on our visits to Bournemouth - Sue
