    Like most hotels in Douglas it is now an old building, but everywhere inside the hotel was nice and clean and the staff where very helpfull. I was in a single room, but not too small and the shower was fine.     Excellent B&B in a large house in a line of upscale suburban homes on the road North out of Douglas. Overlooking the sea and Tram lines; quiet area. Margaret is the best hostess, keen to make you as comfortable as possible and ensure you enjoy every aspect of your visit. Breakfast choices excellent and innovative (ie: bagels, eggs, smoked salm... what people say » on), well cooked and presented. Did not try her dinner menu (failed to realise it was available and unfortunately made alternative arrangements) but c - Margaret was very welcoming and friendly. We were upgraded to a large room with a massive bed, a large bathroom with luxury bath and shower. There was a walk in wardrobe and a TV which came out of a cupboard and could be turned to face the bed or the sofa. Everything was provided including free bottled water in the fridge, a vast array of coffee for the coffee maker, home baked cakes in the huge communal sitting room and even toothbrushes and toothpaste.     was only in the isle of man working unfortunately but this hotel was exceptional, the staff faultless, hotel was very clean in a good location right on sea front and the breakfast was amazing the menu was extensive and you could have anything i had full manx and it was cooked to perfection. hopefully i will get back to Douglas for a break and wil... what people say » l definitely be staying at this hotel.Even the parking wasn't an issue as you can park outside overnight and all day in the car park 100 yds away for - This place was amazing! The room was beautiful and had an awesome view!!!! They even give you chocolates and have a nice sitting room where you can mingle with the other guest. You can see the horse trollies right out front and there is a stop to get on it right there also. Had an amazing breakfast!     As i was travelling alone worried about staying on my own in a place that doesn't have 24hr reception desk or staff within the hotel however that was not a issue to my suprise. I felt very safe, staff were excellent, friendly couldn't do enough for you.     Cindy the owner / operator is a fantastic hostess. She'll tell you herself that the hotel is "not the Ritz, it's a budget hotel" and "no frills but plenty of fuss" but she's lovely, ensures that all guests are very well looked after and made to feel at home and part of the family. Douglas is the best place to base yourself if you are going to the Isle of Man as you can easily get to the many historic attractions around th - this B&B is on the sea front at the shops end of Douglas prom. The rooms are spacious and clean and most have en-suite but I would ask to make sure. Cindy, the owner is on call 24/7 and goes out of her way to make sure you are happy. Breakfast at just £5.00 is superb and you can eat as much as you want. The Thai restaurant was good quality -you just need to book in advance as we couldn't even get a table but ordered downstairs and they brought it to our room.
