Hotels near Exeter Airport

We have stayed at this hotel a few times as our son goes to Exeter University, its very handy as close to the Motorway. At the same time if you are unfortunate to get a room overlooking the main road/roundabouts it can be noisy. On this occasion we were unlucky and went to see if we could change our room, the Receptionist was very helpful and immediately switched as to a room in a quieter location. The rooms are modern and clean with showers only and no bath but all well kept. The breakfast is - Dawn

This was a really nice, quaint, friendly little hotel and it was perfect for what we needed -- a one night stay over on our way to someplace else. Right off the bat I have to mention it was the absolute worst bed I have ever slept in. Hands down. So hard and uncomfortable. I could feel the springs in the mattress poking me all night. The bar that is attached is a nice place to have a drink and the restaurant was pretty packed. It’s a little far from the High St and Quay area but there is a b - Edith

Our Daughters wedding reception on 22nd August was absolutely fantastic. The whole day worked like clockwork. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. Many guest stayed and the rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. The meal was the best we have had at a wedding. Would highly recommend to anyone for a wedding reception. - Stanislaw

As this hotel is new (opened in June), it's all pretty spiffy and clean, but when we got to our room we were baffled to find that there were no drawers or even shelves to put our stuff away when we unpacked, just a small hanging rod. Not even a stand to put a suitcase on so we could at least have used that. This might be OK for a night or two, but very inconvenient for longer stays. The bathroom countertop was miniscule, again very inconvenient. Who designs these hotels? Obviously not someone - Lynne

Stayed here for one night while my husband went to a meeting to do with work. This Guest House rescued us because we always travel with a small Yorkshire Terrier and it is quite difficult in England to find hotels that will take very well behaved little dogs. We had booked a hotel from a famous chain that we use in France all the time but when I rang to make sure they were ok with my dog, they said no! I stayed here for a night with some girlfriends.We each had a single room which was cleverly set out .Whilst not luxurious you cant help but love the room.These guys have paid attention to detail and the room works. We ate in the restaurant and can not complain about the quality or the service.The bar was fine but lacked something...we preferred sitting in the lounge and having drinks in there. This is a cool,relaxed hotel,but it wont suit everyone.My parents wouldnt get it!Yet they enjoyed - Deborah

I only stayed at this hotel for one night but I was extremely impressed with all aspects of it. The decor was modern and very chic. The room was immaculate and had air conditioning and wonderful thick curtains, ensuring we got a good night's sleep (as far as possible with a newborn!). I was initially nervous about this trip as it was the first time I had spent away from home with my 9 week old baby. The staff at this hotel could not have been more reassuring and helpful. I booked this a few months ago for our anniversary and I must be honest I was getting slightly concerned by some of the recent comments. There was nothing to fear. Admitedly I booked the Champagne Package, which entitled us to a fabulous room and FABULOUS it was. We got parking near to the hotel in their designated area, but it is at a premium. The room was a suite (Room 108) and I would recommend it to anyone. It was out of this world and everything we wanted, there was a real WOW fac - Paul

This is THE place to stay if you love fine food, large portions, excellent service and a warm welcome. On a business trip,I was booked into the Barton by our service provider, and initially, I was unsure due to the location, and that it was a small hotel. FEAR NOT ! Brian was most welcoming and informative to all his guests, and treated everyone with superb respect and professionalism.
