    Lovely warm welcome, which continued throughout our stay of two nights. The room was spotless and had everything we needed for our short stay. The breakfasts were delicious and nothing too much trouble for our wonderful hosts. First class B&B. Lovely genuine and friendly hosts. We can honestly say the breakfast was the best we have ever had in any B&B or hotel.Very very clean and comfortable rooms, hosts were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.     We loved everything abou tthe Blue Bell Hotel - the receptionist was lovely and very helpful - the lovely blonde lady who worked at breakfast time was smashing - the bar staff were lovely and overall our stay was brilliant. The rooms were fine - clean and comfortable - the situation was perfect for our travelling around and sightseeing. Many thanks - we'll be back!! - The bedrooms were simple but well decorated and had everything one needed for a good nights rest. There was also a small flat screen TV as well as Tea and Coffee making facilities and a lift. Hotel bedrooms on three floors. Purposely built hotel bedroom block and large car park. Staff could not have been more helpful. There was also a bar and a restaurant with a carvery on the Sunday, but it finishes at 18:00 hours.

    Loved the fact that we were a two minute walk from the shops and near restaurants for the evening. Excellent value for money and a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Much nicer than your run of the mill holiday inn or travel lodge where they are all the same! Also liked that you had a bar connected so we could have a drink late evening. It has lots of character. We stayed in the Attic, it was beautiful. Really comfortable. Brilliant being in the middle of York, parked in Marygate carpark and didn't go back until we left. Staff lovely, left the phone charger in the room when we left, Manager posted it back to me next day, no problem. Breakfast delightful. Would definitely go back.

    the location was great only a 5 minute walk to the train station and to the shopping centre. Contrary to other reviews I found the reception staff very helpful, especially Natalie. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Parking was no problem - car park at the front of the hotel and plenty spaces at the back. The Brasserie was ideal for a pleasant meal and I noticed a number of other people on their own, so you didn't feel awkward.
