I don't usually leave reviews, but I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The welcome was extraordinary - it was as though I were a long-lost friend. I stayed in Room 1, which has a four-poster bed and a splendid bathroom. The room was perfectly clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was first class - have the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Made in a pan, not the microwave! Thick, hand-cut toast, and butter at room temperature. Simply excellent.

Everything about my stay at Goldsborough Hall was what I had hoped for and beyond what I expected. The house is beautiful and set in lovely grounds which are well worth a walk around. The room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The staff and owners were friendly and curteous. Every moment I was there I felt welcome and also that my satisfaction was the priority. Goldsborough Hall provides the country manor stay that you think you can only dream of. I will definitely be returning.

the B&B was very quaint, my elderly parents were in the converted stable. It was an adorable room, good size and the largest bathroom we saw in Great Britain. It had a little frig too and was easy for my father to use as he required a walker. My room was in the main house, up some very steep narrow stairs. Getting my suitcase up those stairs... what people say » took some effort. But the room was clean if a little small, and I was quite comfortable. My wife and I stayed at the fifth milestone for two nights. This was our first get away for a long time and i couldn't be happier with our choice. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped out of the car. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better room, breakfast was delicious and there was great variety at the breakfast buffet. I honestly couldn't pick fault with a single thing. Our hosts were so welcoming, friendly and informative, even offering to book us in somewhere to eat dinner and arr

In addition to the facilties one would expect from a hotel in this
category, I was treated as if I was a relative of the staff, I really
mean that. Being on my own, without overstepping the bounds of
professionalism, they went out of their way to be accommodating, It was
unfortunate that I needed a Doctor during my stay. This was arranged by

We thought the suite was beautiful. The bed was so, so comfortable and the layout of the room very much to our liking. The whole suite was "quality". The breakfast was immense and kept us going until early evening. The staff we met were very polite and very attentive. The area outside our suite was very nice but the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside. I would recommend "Mount Royale" very highly! Convenient to the city and all its attractions.
