Everything was perfect at the Swinton Park it was truly a wonderfulexperience.The staff were very very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. beautiful surrondings luxurious rooms fantastic food. Courteous service.Staff excellent, location very good. no level access showers, in any of the rooms. Booked a 2 night stay but there was a mix up and one was cancelled by 'someone' at the hotel! This was sorted quickly and I was upgraded but I had to change rooms. Missed an a la carte menu and the choices this would have allowed. r Dined out in the area because of this.Menu expensive and not to our liking.Poor selection.

The bedrooms, on the first and second floors, are individually designed and decorated on the theme of a Yorkshire town, dale, castle, abbey or garden, according to the aspect of the room. For example, the Harrogate room faces south across the lake and deer park whilst the Richmond room faces east overlooking the gatehouse and driveway.
All rooms are equipped with direct dial telephones, CD player, satellite TV, trouser press, drinks tray and coffee and tea making facilities.
6 of the 31 bedrooms are suites and the Turret Room is on 3 floors with a (steep!) staircase between. A lift serves both the first and second floors. 4 of the en suite bathrooms are equipped for disabled use.

Directions from A1 North:
Leave the A1 at the A61, Ripon Junction, travel along the B6267 and follow the signs for Masham. Once you reach the town centre, follow the road past the Market Square and HSBC Bank. Take the second right onto Swinton Terrace. This road will lead you past Masham Golf Course and up the hill to the gates of Swinton Park.
Directions from A1 South:
Leave the A1 at Leeming Bar, follow the signs for Masham/Bedale, along the B6268. Onced you have reached Masham, follow the directions as above.
