Maggie greeted us with a lovely welcome and after showing us our room made us a big pot of tea with home made biscuits which was served in the sitting room. Breakfast was excellent - a real farmhouse breakfast and relaxed. It was lovely to sit with the other guests round a big farmhouse table. Unfortunately we were in a rush as we were off to a christening but we would have loved to have lingered longer. We were treated well from the moment of arrival until departure. The room was very comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. The room had beautiful views over Askrigg and Wensleydale. The breakfast was excellent and set us up well for days of walking.

The owners Keith and Zoe are great. Nothing was to much trouble and they like a good laugh.

Wow! What a little gem, set just off the main square in Layburn making it an ideal location to explore the area. Our room was exceptionally clean, beautifully furnished and presented to a very high standard, with amazing views on two sides over the beautiful Yorkshire country side. Lynn and her husband were lovely, friendly helpful hosts. The selection for breakfast was excellent, tasty and well presented. Having stayed in many hotels and guest houses this one certainly stands out as a winner.
