All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and hot options cooked to order. All the big attractions are within easy walking distance. Close access to walking the city walls, great views and it's free!

The bedrooms were simple but well decorated and had everything one needed for a good nights rest. There was also a small flat screen TV as well as Tea and Coffee making facilities and a lift. Hotel bedrooms on three floors. Purposely built hotel bedroom block and large car park. Staff could not have been more helpful. There was also a bar and a restaurant with a carvery on the Sunday, but it finishes at 18:00 hours.

The Saxonville has a slightly old fashioned feel to it, and none the worse for that. There was plenty of public space. The service was excellent. It is a bit out of town, but this is not a problem if you can walk half a mile, as the town centre, in season, is heaving. A relaxing place for a comfortable break. We only had one dinner in, but it was great value.

Loved the spacious rooms, very friendly, helpful staff. The pool was large, clean and very luxurious. Food was great, and breakfast and dinner arrived without a long wait, and cooked beautifully. Couldn't ask for better service. Great to know that the car was safe in the no reservation, secure car park!
