We stayed in the riverside Merchant Exchange apartment and the location was brilliant, just a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants & tourist attractions. The views across the city and river were lovely and the apartment was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We appreciated that parking, Wi-Fi and Sky HD were all included in the price. A warm sincere greeting by the owners on arrival set the tone for our stay. Lovely room , well dressed and furnished.En-suite more than roomy enough and fit for purpose, which isn't always the case with guest houses we've used in the past. I stayed here with my mother who is 71 for a shopping weekend. We had a family room that was lovely.
First class B&B. Lovely genuine and friendly hosts. We can honestly say the breakfast was the best we have ever had in any B&B or hotel.Very very clean and comfortable rooms, hosts were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended !!!!! Easy 5 stars *****

I loved everything about the hotel. Every member of staff was reallyhelpful and quite lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. The bookingout time of 12 noon was realistic and breakfast between 7 and 11 wascertainly more civilised than some hotels. The bedrooms were simple but well decorated and had everything one needed for a good nights rest. There was also a small flat screen TV as well as Tea and Coffee making facilities and a lift. Hotel bedrooms on three floors. Purposely built hotel bedroom block and large car park. Staff could not have been more helpful. There was also a bar and a restaurant with a carvery on the Sunday, but it finishes at 18:00 hours.

Although we booked a studio apartment we were surprised that there was a fair amount of space in the apartment itself. Plenty of crockery etc., and some tea bags, water and soft drinks which were a bonus. Ideal if you don't like the idea of having huge breakfasts at a B & B or hotel. We would definitely book these apartments again. Very central to the Town.

Loved the fact that we were a two minute walk from the shops and near restaurants for the evening. Excellent value for money and a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Much nicer than your run of the mill holiday inn or travel lodge where they are all the same! Also liked that you had a bar connected so we could have a drink late evening.

Room was slightly on the small side but was bright, nicely decorated & nipping clean, the bed was very comfy, shower was great & my wife loved the complimentary biscuits. Girl on reception was really friendly & efficient. Did not dine there but has a few drinks in the fat badger bar which we enjoyed. The price of the room was excellent @ £59 for a double. Would deffo stay again
