    Staff very accommodating, fantastic value for the money - lovely (if a wee bit old and tired) room with very carefully thought out details such as quality hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee in the room (with real cream for the drinks - not powered stuff). A winner. - The hotel is in a great location within the city walls and provides free parking. It is quirky in layout, yet has a very cosy feel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and hot options cooked to order. All the big attractions are within easy walking distance. Close access to walking the city walls, great views and it's free!

    The staff are amazingly friendly and really made us feel welcome. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and all round nice. It felt more like a family hotel than a chain hotel (and I mean that as a positive comment.)     We loved everything abou tthe Blue Bell Hotel - the receptionist was lovely and very helpful - the lovely blonde lady who worked at breakfast time was smashing - the bar staff were lovely and overall our stay was brilliant. Staff could not have been more helpful. There was also a bar and a restaurant with a carvery on the Sunday, but it finishes at 18:00 hours.

    Loved the fact that we were a two minute walk from the shops and near restaurants for the evening. Excellent value for money and a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Much nicer than your run of the mill holiday inn or travel lodge where they are all the same! Also liked that you had a bar connected so we could have a drink late evening.     Stayed here with my husband and a colleague as we were doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge with my work colleagues. Location is excellent, about 15 - 20 minutes from Horton-in-Ribblesdale for the start of the challenge. We stay and eat in lovely places for work and I h - We stayed here for the weekend with friends for a walking break. We found the rooms to be comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly who went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was excellent. My only 'complaint' was they ran out of the lamb which we were all looking forward to after walking 15 miles :o( However, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we chose.     A lovely, oldfashioned hotel in a elegant part of Scarborough. Great location for anyone using the Spa for entertainment purposes as we did for a Jools Holland concert. Easy walk down into town centre and access to cliff lift if daunted by the walk back uphill.     Everyone at the hotel is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms and public aeas are spotlessly clean and comfortable.We decided to have dinner on the first night and it was so delicious we had it every other day too! (we stayed for 3 nights). Breakfast was served at the table, so everything was freshly-cooked with lots of choice including smoothies. We were r - The Saxonville has a slightly old fashioned feel to it, and none the worse for that. There was plenty of public space. The service was excellent. It is a bit out of town, but this is not a problem if you can walk half a mile, as the town centre, in season, is heaving. A relaxing place for a comfortable break. We only had one dinner in, but it was great value.
