    seriously, there's nothing to dislike. Peg and Rod are fabulous hosts. their accomodation wether it be their self catering cottages or BnB is 1st class.not 'posh' but comfortable, clean, friendly, well equiped and spacious. we've been here now a number of times and cannot fault any of the facilities. - Proprietors, Peggy and Rod, very down to ear... what people say » th, friendly and engaging.     The room was immaculately clean and I can't honestly suggest how it could be improved. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. I will definitaly recommend it to friends and will definitely stay there again.     The Blakeny is a family run b@b,excelent value, spotlessly clean with a wondeful home cooked breakfast far more than one could possibly eat but irresistable. Large room comfortable bed and cosy doona small but adequate bathroom with very good shower. Delightful stay.It is a bit far from town but the bus is right outside the door and only takes 10 minutes. The same bus goes into - we chose tho stay here as we didn't want to be right in the middle of town. It' s a 25 minute walk to the Minster though there is a bus stop right outside if you want save your legs. The location was nice & quiet with hardly any traffic. The room was large, clean & comfy & there was plenty of nice food for breakfast. The hosts were friendly & helpful & were able to give us some really useful information. We will definitely stay there again when we return to york next year.

    The friendly welcome,by a very pleasant couple.Oppisate a public park full of wildlife.The rooms were comfy as were the beds.Tea and coffee facilities.The breakfasts were very good and tasty.The location was quite good as it was not far from the centre.My husband has disabilities but taxis are plentiful so we found it quite easy to get to the cent... what people say » re of attractions. - We stayed in the most basic room but it was spotless and enough for what we wanted.     This was are first time at the sunningdale' but I can tell you it wont be the last.     the B&B was very quaint, my elderly parents were in the converted stable. It was an adorable room, good size and the largest bathroom we saw in Great Britain. It had a little frig too and was easy for my father to use as he required a walker. My room was in the main house, up some very steep narrow stairs. Getting my suitcase up those stairs... what people say » took some effort. But the room was clean if a little small, and I was quite comfortable. The owner gave us good directions to a nice little pub call - My wife and I stayed at the fifth milestone for two nights. This was our first get away for a long time and i couldn't be happier with our choice. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped out of the car. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better room, breakfast was delicious and there was great variety at the breakfast buffet. I honestly couldn't pick fault with a single thing. The hotel is a beautiful home and every attention to detail is made, right down to lovely toiletries in the bathroom and an enormous china cup and saucer for your morning tea.     Staff were very helpful and polite. Room was immaculate and very comfortable. Also parking on site was a great bonus. Only 10 minute, nice walk into the centre. - The guest house was lovely and clean and the room was the same we were really pleased with it and will definately stay there next time we come to York.

    Beautiful location and very convenient for both Harrogate and York. We stayed in the twin room with the added bonus of a sitting area.     Nice and friendly family/staff and helpful. The food and room were excellent. Lots of up to date leaflets available with things to do for all weathers. The family remembered us from last years stay which was nice. - Very friendly staff. Convenience of a car park and licenced bar.
