Everything. The owner and staff could not have been more helpful.
The room we stayed in was spotlesly clean and beautifully decorated as was the whole establishment. The facilities in the room were excellent. And last but not least the breakfasts were to die for . The choice and quality was first class. When visiting Scarborough again we will be staying here again. Would highly recommend.
Breakfast was very good, and service was perfect. Location was five minutes walk from the beach and a twenty minute stroll from town. Room (superior) was lovely, cosy but spacious and with a nice view of the castle. The owners were helpful and friendly. Overall a nice place to stay.all reviews »
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lysander. The location was excellent, the owners very friendly and approachable and our room was very homely and well maintained. The price was good and the breakfast was delicious. We would certainly recommend the Lysander.
Everything about the Hotel.
Spotlesly clean,very comfortable,well equipped. The Staff and owners make you feel very welcome and relaxed, they couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. The breakfast and service was first class.

I wanted somewhere really nice to take my mum for a weekend the Lysander was more than that. It was immaculate, friendly, rooms were very tastefully decorated. Andy and Julie couldnt be more helpful and the staff were lovely.

Our double room was small and had a picture window which meant the room overheated very quickly. Not enough window opening to air the room properly.
Thought the room rate was high considering no breakfast included.
Wall and ceiling not very sound proof. Could people's conversations and movements from adjoining and above. Very little room for luggage. C/C surcharge should be incorporated in total tarrif as with most other like-establishments. Would not recommend for this reason.
