Liverpool 3* star Hotels

We were delighted with the Adelphi. Although the decor was not completely up-to-the-minute, the room was spacious and comfortable and clean and has obviously been repainted quite recently. There are extensive public areas for wifi etc and the staff were extremely friendly, especially when we accidentally spilled a big jug of milk on our table. Can't fault it for what I want and will return. - Barbara

We have stayed here twice during the past few weeks, I would highly recommend it to anyone. The reception staff were most welcoming and helpful, the rooms are spotless and luxurious. Breakfast was excellent. Obviously an extremely well managed hotel with its customers a priority. - John

stayed one night went to see nolans on echo arena room was very clean and decor excellent was a bit weary after reading reviews no need to panic staff excellent and breakfast brill even bucks fizz with breakfast on sunday morning cannot fault it well done the feathers - Lisa

The staff were very friendly and most helpful, (thanks Barry for your efforts in recovering my lost camcorder). The building is a lovely old renovated residence in a quiet area of Liverpool. It is a little out of town, hence quiet but the bus is very close by and a 10 - 15 min trip to the city and attractions, less than 10min by car. There is limited parking on site. Breakfast is great and nice environment, the rooms are very roomy, comfortable and clean. The only negative is there is no lift to - Chris

we were booked into hotel on sat 19 till 21 sept and when we arrived our rooms had been cancelled!Unfortunatley we had been scamed by a booking web site which we are in the process of sorting out> I have to say staff could not have been more helpfull they found us alternative accomodation for sat night and the manager Andy brought us to our new hotel in his car,which was beyond the call of duty.Ok the rooms are not 5 star luxury but the staff the bar and the food are!!! we would recommend thi - Steve

The hotel was great, me and my colleagues had a business trip to Liverpool and decided the Devonshire House Hotel, on arrival check in was speedy and we were allocated double for sole bedrooms, apparently they have had a light refurb on the bedrooms, i could tell the rooms were spotless, bathrooms were excellent lovely tiled floors. The gardens at the hotel are just amazing, we got a drink at the bar and sat on the benches in the garden, you would not no you were on one of the busiest roads in - Elsie

Stayed here October 26th for 2 nights...Great room on 4th 'deck' ...Only ate there for lunch but food was good.....Really good value for money hotel......Central to all Liverpool and easy to get to and from airport on bus £2.60 each way ...Can't wait to go back .... I was shocked to find this GEM in England........it was perfection food rooms clean nice folks......we wer so happy we stayed at the same hotel in London and Henley on Thames........ - Roger

I stayed one night at this hotel and was highly impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the pancakes for breakfast. However, these two positives were let down by no hot water in my room (sink, shower or bath) which resulted in a cold shave and shower added to worn out decor/fixtures and fittings in the room. The hotel has a lovely wash of light on the front of the building at night which makes it look appealing, however, the curtains don't cover all of the window so I had to sleep with - Carol

We stayed here for two nights. The room, whilst not swelteringly hot, was a little uncomfortable for heat and there was an annoying blue light - presumably as a guide light for emergencies - which was far too bright and could not be turned off. We had to cover it over with some folded papers and tape to get any sleep. There was nothing we found particularly claustrophobic about not having windows in there, but the room itself was a little too small to adequately meet its current purpose. Our dou - Adrian

I was really worried about staying here as we couldn't get ensuite and had to make do with single beds as we took the last room in the hotel. I couldn't have been more surprised. The gentleman on reception remembered that I was checking out early and leaving my partner to stay on for an extra day. I didn't even have to remind him, he told me on the day I checked out - I don't think I have ever been that impressed with the service.
