Loved the Hope Street Hotel. Having stayed in boutique hotels around the world, this one hits all the right notes. The whole place oozes understated sophistication whilst being comfortable and ambient. The reception team were a delight - nothing was too much trouble and they were very knowledgeable about what to do/see/eat while we were there. The London Carriage Works restaurant was just divine. This is what the new Liverpool is all about. Love the Hope Street Hotel! - Derrick

I was shocked to find this GEM in England........it was perfection food rooms clean nice folks......we wer so happy we stayed at the same hotel in London and Henley on Thames........ - Roger

The 1st time we stayed at this hotel we booked business class which i can highly recommend the room was gorgeous with fantastic views of the docks a giant king size bed and a heated bathroom floor. The 2nd time we had a standard room which had no view and was dull and dated. The buffet breakfast was great but better still was room service breakfast as you got loads of variety. The hotel is within walking distance of all attractions. Would defo stay again as long as its business class. - Henry

We stayed Friday & Saturday night (3 couples in our fifties) . The location is great. We had rooms overlooking the water which was nice. The rooms are adequate and clean. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from and well worth the £7.95 . The hotel is basic but good value for money. The staff are lovely and very helpful. If ever we go back to Liverpool (and I hope we do) we will definitely choose this hotel again. - Roger

we had the most amazing experience, we arrived on bikes and these were collected from outside by the porter and put in a safe place overnight, Our room was totally amazing with the biggest bed I have ever slept in...we were given (without asking) another rooms key so that we could use the bath. The reception staff sorted us puit with an early breakfast, as well ans supplying us with a packed lunch to send us on our merry cycling way. The location is superb, and the building is gorgeous. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful - despite being very busy both Saturday and Sunday mornings. The standard of cleanliness, especially in the the bathroom was very high. The only complaint being that some people during the night were a bit exuberant in the corridors - but that is not the fault of the hotel merely thoughtless customers. - Elizabeth

Warm welcome but asked for card details when room was already paid and no extras available to buy. Also asked for Security No. off back of card. I did not give this. the room was large and clean but the bathroom had no soap or shampoo. As it was Friday night it was noisy outside till the early hours of the morning. No double galzing to dampen the noise. - Graeme
