The location is a ten minute walk to the centre of York and permits are provided to enable you to park outside the hotel. We had a downstairs bedroom with en-suite very comfortable and because the Farthings is situated in a quiet street this was a benefit of having a good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and and were helpful in giving local information. The cleanliness of the rooms are spot on and they provided a wonderful menu for breakfast, we would definatley recommend this gem of

Nice standard 2 star hotel which was comfortable with every thing working. Really good restaurant too. The owners of the hotel were first class in all departments. I would stay again without hesitation, as everything fit the bill for my requirements. The city was just a 15 minute walk, the location was quite and peaceful, the cooked breakfast was as good as I have had on my travels. the staff from our arrival were more than helpfull, and went out there way to find us a nice resturant to eat in and made the reservation for us. the hotel and the staff were brilliant! - The location and view from our room was excellent as was the room itself. The staff were friendly and informative and the restaurant and bar were both good.
