The staff were helpful. The room was clean and tidy, perfect for just 1 nights stay without spending ridiculous amounts of money for somewhere in central London. Easy to get to London Underground, literally a 5 minute walk to Euston/Euston Square. For the price, I can't complain. Pretty much luxury for a hostel! Definitely will be using the place again.

Front desk staff extremely nice and helpful. Street and neighborhood are safe and quiet, yet within 10 minutes walk of three tube stations, Kings Cross, Euston Square, and Russell Square. Rooms may be small, and stairs narrow, but you can't beat the charm of this historic building and neighborhood. Hearty buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Superb location, modern facilities and they happily give you hot water

I liked that it was always clean everywhere and that the staff were always so nice and helpfull. All in all I'm very happy with my stay there and I'd recommend The Generator to anyone going to London - The bar in the hostel is awesome. The general atmosphere of the place is great - definitely the way to go if you want to meet other young people and have a damn good time. Drinks prices in the bar weren't too bad - £2.20 on all drinks (except doubles!) and the kareoke was fun. Staff were very friendly too.
