    The Fleece has a beautiful location, right on Church Green and only a very short walk from the town centre.     This is a fairly new and beautifully appointed hotel. We stayed in an Executive Suite which was a lovely room. The room was spotless, the bed wonderfully comfortable and great corner settee to lounge on. The hotel is opposite the grounds of Blenheim Palace. It is situated on a main road, there was no problem with road noise. There is a train ... what people say » station 5 minutes walk away, you can jump on a train to Oxford, only a 9 minute journey away and have no worries about parking. Really convenient. B - The Courtyard Woodstock Hotel is a new building just 3 minutes from the train station that has a 10 minute train ride to Oxford and Cotswold villages.There are also good bus connections to Woodstock Blenheim Palace and other Cotswold villages. Easy to get to public footpaths for country walks. The staff in the onsight cafe is very pleasant and friendly.

    Scots lady at bar who acted as receptionist and showed me to my room was very friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and the batthroom more than adequate. Braekfast was different as the hotel was being used by contract workers who - the judge by their conversation - were gutting or refurbishing a local building. Disco entertainment on Fri nights, we stayed Saturday. Full English breakfast was first class. Intend staying again when next up from Kent. Parking for patdons is great.

    As I was visiting an elderly relative at the hospital across the road, for my needs it was the perfect location and was close enough to the town centre for a break in between visiting hours. The owners were extremely helpful and allowed me to leave the car with them before the return trip to Yorkshire. - We have stayed at Fairlawns many times and... what people say » have never been disappointed. We arrived a bit early after a long transatlantic flight and Matt was very accommodating about finding a room that met our needs even though it was not the room they had planned for us. The breakfast was fabulous as usual. - We enjoyed our stay at Fairlawns. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. We were given a room in the gardens because we had our small dog with us and this was perfect for us, the room had everything we needed and it was cosy in the cold weather we were having.

    I upgraded to a four poster room for a minimum additional charge. The room was warm, comfortable and scrupulously clean. Staff (owner and family) very friendly and helpful. I arrived before the closure of the restaraunt so had an excellent chinese meal. The breakfast was also well prepared and there was a choice. He took our 4 month old and turned his mood around (he was getting bored and grumpy..) so he was happy and entertained during our evening meal – meaning we were actually able to eat our dinner.. The locals in the pub were very friendly also. Lovely food, clean rooms, and charming decor. Highly recommended all round!

    The owner was very welcoming. Also our room had various items e.g. dvd player, alarm clock etc which while, not strictly necessary, gave our stay a nice touch. - short and sweet: just great (put i don't try the breakfast)

    It was a new guest house. It was very clean, very good quality of pillows and matrices, we had an excellent sleep. The entire decoration was minimal but beautiful. The stuff was very helpful and professional. Very close to the train station and the center. It was an enjoyable stay - Lovely cute room (room 10) in the eaves, very quiet as it was at... what people say » the back of the hotel. I booked late and so had a room with a shared bathroom which was also lovely and no problem popping across the landing to it. Good breakfast with fresh fruit, cereal and yoghurt and toast.

    The Bear and Ragged Staff was oozing with old world charm. Log fires, exposed beams, crooked staircases - very British. The food was amazing. We ate dinner there one night and it was wonderful. Tasted home made with real local ingredients, not the usual microwaved junk most pubs serve. The staff are fantastic, the food is very good and the rooms are simply beautiful! The location was perfect for our weekend visiting the beautiful city of Oxford followed by a Bicester shopping trip on the way home only 15 minutes from the hotel. We looked at Malmaison but thought it was too much for what it was so when we found this one at such a fab price, we booked it immediately! 15 minutes in a taxi £8-£10 to Oxtord Westside - dropped off just outside Malmai

    The staff at Becket was welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and the place felt private and familiar yet was right in the thick of Oxford. Breakfast was delicious and Marie was incredibly helpful and accommodating.
