All the staff I encountered were friendly & helpful- nothing was too much trouble for them; from Reception staff, Waiting staff at breakfast and staff in The Boathouse. Please pass on my thanks. The food was piping hot, which was much appreciated and the lunch menu was adjusted to meet our personal choices and was all we could wish for. We met some Canadian cousins for the first time and it was a wonderful spot to meet up for lunch on the side of the Thames with them.     They were very helpful. After I was there for three hours I discovered the toilet did not work. They moved me to another room immediately. Two days later the ceiling caved in during the night because of the water from the air conditioner.     We have learned that in England if you have a car you need to check tosee if there is parking at the Hotel. We have recently stayed in Bathand had to pay 8 pounds per day to park the car at the back of the b andB.     The room was a large converted barn and well planned. It had a walk in shower and a freestanding bath and was designed beautifully. The bed was massive and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious outside in the courtyard and the staff were really friendly. It's in the perfect spot for the Henely regatta and the train station.     I have stayed there many times, starting in the mid 1970'S. It became a luxury hotel after that, and this is the first time I stayed in the more modern era. In general, I liked everything, but especially the staff. I feel they gave outstanding service. I arrived without a wallet and no money to pay the cab. (My wallet had been temporarily lost.) - The hotel was charming and inviting. The location was perfect for us. I was traveling with my daughter visiting another child that is taking a gap year and is in the Oxford Tutorial College. she was able to get to us and we got around the town wonderfully. The staff were all helpful and informative. The environment was cozy and warm which was greatly appreciated because the weather was chilly and wet. Would definitely recommend to others.
