    peaceful and excellent staff and cleanleness - Very clean, excellent rooms, pleasant and cooperative staff. We arrived very late and they were able to cope with this.

    We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff who catered for my young daughter by providing colouring, baby chairs and toys without being asked - And the hotel still remained very adult orientated - This is a lovely hotel, the staff were really pleasant, room lovely ( Samphire), the food was excellent, and there was even a little play co... what people say » rner for our 5 year old.     We had a really nice stay. The hotel was traditional in a nice way, excellent breakfasts, a very pleasant restaurant with good food, a comfortable room, and friendly, professional staff. Also the location is good (readily accessible from Dover, good for visiting Canterbury centre and Kent).     It is, by a long way, the loveliest place I've ever stayed; beats every five star hotel I've stayed in, in every country, and every US State. The staff, Sarah and Sarah, are so friendly and enthusiastic, the rooms are gorgeous (I had a deluxe room; enormous and beautiful room, with large bathroom - even nicer than the pictures, which is quite some... what people say » thing!), overlooking beautiful lawns and part of the Canterbury countryside that is so picturesque. Breakfast is extremely good; and the layout of the - This large B&B has several choices of accommodation, and we stayed in the cottage at the top of the yard set apart from the other buildings, which was very romantic. It had the most comfortable bed you can imagine, a roaring wood-burning stove, and a lovely view. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in an English B&B, everything fresh and local and of excellent quality.

    The location is great for a week end break as it is in a remote part of Brookland. It is peaceful and calming. Obviously a car is a must which I didn't have but Martin the owner of this charming little cottage was kind enough to offer driving me to my business meetings most mornings! The accommodation is detached from the main building so you'll h... what people say » ave privacy. It is comfortable and cosy. It's prefect for one adult or a couple. Special mention, Martin and his wife were the kindest warmest and mos - Vicky was very friendly, sending us detailed directions and cooking a delicious breakfast. The cottage is perfect for 2 people, cosy and clean. The shower worked well and there was a TV with some DVDs. It was remote enough to enjoy the stars but close enough to enjoy Rye and the surrounding areas.
