    Girl on reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly. A really good first impression. The room was simple but stylish. - Proximity to the centre, ease of access and parking facilities. Very nice setting and out of the ordinary in a good way.

    A very clean and well maintained room with a comfortable bed. - The guest hourse staff were courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable, spotless and has decent cable tv, overall the guesthouse represents excellent value for money.

    It is, by a long way, the loveliest place I've ever stayed; beats every five star hotel I've stayed in, in every country, and every US State. The staff, Sarah and Sarah, are so friendly and enthusiastic, the rooms are gorgeous (I had a deluxe room; enormous and beautiful room, with large bathroom - even nicer than the pictures, which is quite some... what people say » thing!), overlooking beautiful lawns and part of the Canterbury countryside that is so picturesque. Breakfast is extremely good; and the layout of the - This large B&B has several choices of accommodation, and we stayed in the cottage at the top of the yard set apart from the other buildings, which was very romantic. It had the most comfortable bed you can imagine, a roaring wood-burning stove, and a lovely view. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in an English B&B, everything fresh and local and of excellent quality.

    Lovely old house, not a straight line in the place! Located right in the centre of Sandwich, can get anywhere in just a few minutes walk. Comfy room, lovely bathroom, great breakfast and friendly host. The sound of the bells adds character and are only loud with the bedroom window open. A landlord with an enormous heart - Not only did he and his wife drop us at and pick us up from our hovercraft adventure, when we were muddy and soaked he let us wash up in our room well past our check out time and even refused to accept any extra money.     Nothing had quite prepared us for the treat in store when we booked this short break. The design, decor and ambience of 'Bleak House' is unique. The owners have succeeded in keeping the sense of history and Victorian atmosphere and combining it with the high standards expected by today's visitors. We sense that 'Bleak House' is a labour of love... what people say » and appreciated all the little touches which demonstrate this: from the beautifully polished furniture to the displays of Dickensian memorabilia. We - Every single member of staff was so friendly and welcoming. The service was faultless insomuch that they could not do enough for you to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The house is beautifully decorated, fantastic outlook across the lawns and the bay, clean, comfortable bed, welcoming glass of sherry, slippers even. It is not surprising that Dickens loved staying here. We had a very memorable time and would like to thank all staff concerned. Would definitely recommend.

    We stayed in the apartments which where spacious and great value for money. Downstairs there was a large seating area and large flatscreen tv plus a kitchen with a hob, microwave, fridge,toaster,sink,cupboards and a dining area. Free Wifi. There was a seperate downstairs WC. The apartments ha - The welcome that we received was excellent. The public areas and the bedroom were nicely furnished and were comfortably warm on a very cold and heavy snow covered evening and night. Our after dinner cheese platter for two was nicely presented and would and could easily have fed four people.. We look forward to a return to the Five Bells when the weather is much warmer.

    Location great near station and town centre. Rather unusual taste in decor and fittings which don't always match, but quirky and beautiful building. Fabulous bed! - Great location close to all of the Canterbury attractions but also close to the routes into/out of town. We had the entire house for the weekend.

    In a good location within walking distance of the town and beach. We arrived by car and there was no problem with finding nearby parking. If coming by train then the station is opposite which means you can hear the trains but it did not spoil our stay. Apartment was great. Great place to stay, charming host - no negatives. - The owner was so friendly and accommodating. We stayed twice and were very delayed on our return from Europe, but he cheerfully met us at the apartment. Wine and provisions for breakfast were provided. I would really recommend this place.
