We went to Port Wenn and left Port Isaac. For us it was the quintessential Cornish Port town - so much more than what is portrayed on the show. The location of the Slipway is, oddly enough, across the lane from the slipway which means you get to wake up to the sound of the sea and its gulls which is what you would expect from a seaside holiday. As... what people say » for the staff - friendly, gracious and helpful. The rooms were clean and we were warm enough during a particularly cold snap. We enjoyed the locals c - The hotel lies in the harbor in Port Isaac (as shown on the tv show Doc Martin) . The village is very quaint and picturesque The hotel was small and comfortable. The view of the harbor from the balcony in our room was wonderful, The breakfast was outstanding and the hotel main menu was very good. The owners and staff were very friendly and professional.
