    Amazing! I didn't know what to expect from the hotel or the location. What a great surprise. The Lake District, the Village of Grasmere and the Waterside hotel were great!. The hotel was spotless, great staff, room was fantastic. Amenities were great in the room and in the hotel. The big suprise was the food at the hotel. Breakfast was good,... what people say » but dinner was absolutely fantastic!! - The peace and quiet in the gardens and the excellent breakfasts.thestaff were very friendly and helpful.this is the second time we havestayed here and we have enjoyed both stays.we would'nt hesitate to stayagain if we could get a good deal like the one we have just had.

I was there with my girlfriend and happy to stay there again. Special thanks to manager of the hotel. He was absolutely friendly and cares about us (he recommended to take hotel umbrella because rain could be later and he organized wonderful mini bus tour for us to the lakes). Breakfast also excellent (you could order classic English, continental breakfast and even salmon), wi-fi, TV provided but not so interesting because nature outside is very beautiful.

    This is a very beautiful hotel, set in an idyllic spot with views of Grasmere Lake and the fells. Really one of the loveliest spots in England. The staff were friendly and helpful and the fact that the hotel was completely booked shows how popular it is. One guest told me he'd been coming for 28 years and this is my third time. We found it to be so lovely, peaceful and relaxing, a proper home from home. It has a beautiful dining room, and with lovely comfy lounges and views. We enjoyed the pitch-and-put no end.     The welcome and friendliness of our hosts, nothing was to much trouble. Our ensuite room was extremely comfortable with not only luxury essentials to hand, but also cake too. The beautiful lounge to relax in with had a good choice of up todate magazines and chocolates. Plenty of choice for breakfast. And we couldn't forget Miffy the sheepdog, who liked nothin - We stayed for 3 nights in November and found this to be a lovely hotel - very comfortable, lovely and warm (easily adjusted and efficient heating), spotlessly clean, beautiful view (we had a front room), excellent shower with plenty of hot water.     The location was ideal for us , we like to shop and enjoy the restaurants and bars in the town centre. The owners George and Lindsey were very friendly and made our stay all the more enjoyable, George was very clued up on the local area and was a very chatty host at breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the ensuite was of a good standard. Overall it was a very nice place to stay particulary as 16 appears to be the maximum number of guests. The staff and owners could give everyone good service as well as finding time to talk to all
