Everything was excellent. I was there with my girlfriend and happy to stay there again. Special thanks to manager of the hotel. He was absolutely friendly and cares about us (he recommended to take hotel umbrella because rain could be later and he organized wonderful mini bus tour for us to the lakes). Breakfast also excellent (you could order classic English, continental breakfast and even salmon), wi-fi, TV provided but not so interesting because nature outside is very beautiful.

We stayed at the Gold Rill for 2 nights in April. We found it to be so lovely, peaceful and relaxing, a proper home from home. It has a beautiful dining room, and with lovely comfy lounges and views. We enjoyed the pitch-and-put no end. The hotel is only a couple of mins walk into the center of Grasmere, just perfect! And with lovely staff, we would definitely go again.

We stayed in room 8 and it was just as amazing as the pictures we saw on here. Huge walk in shower and free standing bath tub. Very comfortable bed and astonishing view from the private balcony. We stayed for 3 nights in November and found this to be a lovely hotel - very comfortable, lovely and warm (easily adjusted and efficient heating), spotlessly clean, beautiful view (we had a front room), excellent shower with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was very good and the standard was consistent all through our 10 night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the ensuite was of a good standard.
Overall it was a very nice place to stay particulary as 16 appears to be the maximum number of guests. The staff and owners could give everyone good service as well as finding time to talk to all
