  Amazing! I didn't know what to expect from the hotel or the location. What a great surprise. The Lake District, the Village of Grasmere and the Waterside hotel were great!. The hotel was spotless, great staff, room was fantastic. Amenities were great in the room and in the hotel. The big suprise was the food at the hotel. Breakfast was good,... what people say » but dinner was absolutely fantastic!! - The peace and quiet in the gardens and the excellent breakfasts.thestaff were very friendly and helpful.this is the second time we havestayed here and we have enjoyed both stays.we would'nt hesitate to stayagain if we could get a good deal like the one we have just had.

He was absolutely friendly and cares about us (he recommended to take hotel umbrella because rain could be later and he organized wonderful mini bus tour for us to the lakes). Breakfast also excellent (you could order classic English, continental breakfast and even salmon), wi-fi, TV provided but not so interesting because nature outside is very beautiful.

  Great location for seeing the Lake District and our hosts Sharon and Paul were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in making our stay better. Breakfasts were good and the room facilities were modern and spotlessly clean. The view of the countryside from the window was brilliant. Happy to recommend this B&B to others. - Sharon and Paul were great hosts, providing very attentive and friendly service. Our room and ensuite were both a good size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was generous, tasty and provided many options. The location to Ambleside town centre was very handy, but a little walk uphill on the return. Would highly recommend using Wynford Guest House as a base for exploring the Lake District.

  This spectacularly appointed building is set slightly above the village of Grasmere. Our welcome was warm and genuine. The room was basic, (what we expected), but suited the purpose of a clean cosy place to stay at the end of an adventurous day. The breakfast was fantastic, as were the packed lunches and evening meals. The location is just sublime... what people say » and peaceful. We will be going back again. - We travelled with a small child and were made to feel very welcome, with the travel cot set up for us on arrival. The hostel is a lovely old building in a stunning setting and a two-minute walk from the nice shops and cafes in the village. We booked dinner at short notice and were very pleased with the quality and price of the food. I can't fault anything!

  A gem of a B&B. Large family room with a very smart bathroom and the best power shower I've ever used. Beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, spotless and quiet. Dave is charming, friendly and very welcoming. His knowledge of walks in the area is really useful - he has climbed every hill from every angle and can offer good advic... what people say » e on where to go to get away from the hoards. The breakfast was huge, hearty and freshly cooked. We shall definitely return. - The Twin room we stayed was spacious, clean and warm especially large shower room! The breakfast was cooked to perfection especially mushrooms, tomatoes :) David and Angie made us feel welcome and were very helpful when needed. Thank David told us the forecast everyday in order to help us how to plan our day if it rains .... Do enjoy the view from High sweden Bridge ! And Derenwater at Keswick !!!
