    I stayed there for 4 night with my girlfriend and daughter and our experience was excellent... the staff was really helpful and kind, he gave us a room bigger than that one we booked as we had a baby, he help us with everything and the cleaness of the room was excellent even thou we left it messy everytime we went out, when we came back it was spa... what people say » rkling clean!! I would defenetly would recomend this hotel and i will going back there for my next visit! 10/10 hotel - Very friendly, hospitable and helpful staff. We were delayed by our flight and thus reached the hotel later than expected; but the staff was very understanding. The shared bathroom was clean and the room was very decent. We did not manage to see the seaside because of time restrictions but if you have a car, it would be worth staying a little further out of the city centre for a different feel of Edinburgh.

    The Culane House Hotel, where we stayed for a total of 2 weeks, was great in so many ways. First, the staff are exceptional- helping with directions, finding certain kinds of shops and being super-attentive. We were originally put in a very large king-sized room. It was terrific, but the climb up two winding staircases was difficult for two old-... what people say » timers. The staff very kindly moved us without us even asking, to a downstairs room. Breakfasts are full with cooked and non-cooked selections - all - The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and well supplied with thoughtful extras: TV. Wi-Fi, hot drink facilities, hairdryer and hair tongues, bottle of water and toiletries. Very nice freshly cooked breakfast. Very close to bus stop with regular, swift service to the city centre. Lovely quiet location overlooking the park.

    What a fabulous Guest House. In a true Scottish Manner I was met at the door and made to feel absolutely welcome. The staff were very professional and friendly and couldn't do enough for us, especially at breakfast. Our breakfast was a true Scottish munch - very well presented and not thrown together.     The staff were brilliant. So willing to accommodate us, we are vegans and normally when we travel and stay in hotels the staff do not even consider accommodating us whereas here they made it look easy, we were generously given a wonderful breakfast. The room was beautiful, very clean, warm, comfortable. Great value for money.     Overall the accommodation facilities and cleanliness are good and value for money. The breakfast choices are wide even for muslim traveler. - Tina was great to deal with. Very accommodating. The location and access to public transport was perfect for us. The place was clean.

    The room was clean, practical, and with hints of romance in the high ceilings, crown moulding, and rich red heavy curtains. The tea and biscuits were replenished daily, our needs were anticipated and met. It felt private enough to feel like you were coming "home".     The place itself is only a ten min walk up leith walk to thw centre of town. The rooms are cosy and very clean. The shower is powerful which I love. Bed is very comfortable. There is free parking outside the door. We have stayed here a few times and find it ver pleasant. - Comfy bed, powerful shower, good tea making facilities, great tv, and it w... what people say » as nice and cosy! I didn't try the breakfast but found a dirty all day breakfast place down the road for the same price I would have paid there.

We arrived at what must have been an annoyingly early time - right on Brekky time (not planned!), but Gareth never missed a beat and managed to serve breakfasts, check out other guests and still treat us in a timely manner as if there were no other issues going on :) In 5 minutes he had told us all we needed to know, took our ca... what people say » se for placement in our room and we started exploring Edinburgh - well armed with info and feeling confident. The room when we arrived back was simp - Gareth was an excellent, charming and affable host. The room - 4- was very comfortable and tastefully furnished.(the 'detached' en suite was managed very well and we appreciated the robes) I have a thing about white cotton sheets and towels and Fraoch House gets first prize! Excellent! My cooked breakfast of smoked salmon, cream chees and bagel was delicious! Just right :-) My husband went for the full Scottish and he was equally pleased. All the other usual breakfast fare very well presented

    The owner was so friendly and really made you feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. Instant coffee powder and milk generously supplied and replenished. In easy reach of centre, with necessities shopping, pubs and eateries nearby. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh).

    We arrived early and could book in !! So close to city centre and attractions .room HUGE more than big enough for the four of us coffee and biscuits much appreciated on cold Oct evening. Close to numerous restaurants for evening meal and it is lovely and warm on return . Clean and comfy room which is more than I bargain for. I wish Abbotsford Guest House can appear in other countries so I don't need to spend time searching for a good hotel anymore. Breakfast is nicely made. I see no drawbacks at all! Totally worth it!
