The owners of swan lake, are nice people, they can help you with planning your sight seeing if needed, hospitality is first class, and their home very comfortable and you feel very welcome. the breakfast is very good and plenty of it. you are on first name terms and every thing is relaxed, no noise peaceful house. a lovely stay thank you. -

Comfortable beds. Excellent wide and powerful shower, the best I've ever used! Close enough to city centre. WiFi is cheap at £3 per day. Isabel and Harry were the perfect hosts. On our arrival, seeing my husband had a disability our room was immediately changed to a first floor room from a second floor room, without even asking. Molly and Roxy the family dogs were adorable and very friendly. We have no problem recommending and staying here again, fantastic.

As I was alone in the room it was fine. but 3 people in this are definately will not work. The area itself is soso. Got called names from some youngsters one evening after I declined to give them money. Would love to,come back.

The welcome was warm, the room was clean and had all the attributes of a 4* hotel, plus some. A warm comfortable bed and the room was very quiet, I probably had the best sleep for weeks. The breakfast good as you get at any 4* hotel I have stayed in up and down the country. A Great B&B, and a warm welcome to boot. I will be seeing all again soon I hope. This hotel has impressed me: 1st, the host (Marion) makes you feel at home and gives you useful instructions and tips. Then, the room was spacious, confortable and clean. When we arrived the introduction/explanation of services etc was good with clear, simple explanation of what to do and where things were. The 'owners' were very welcoming.
Brown's was very clean; there was good provision of every day items, teas, coffees and toiletries.
Breakfast was also good with a good range of items.
No critique at all.

made me feel at home immediately. There were nearby bus stops but I had
preferred to walk (about 15 minutes to Waverley Station). A large
supermarket (Tesco) is 5 minutes away and so are a number of
restaurants. I went on a day tour that set off early in the morning and
John (the owner) gladly served breakfast earlier than usual for me, so
that was great hospitality. If it were not fully booked, I'd have
