  Breakfast was good value - just over £8 for unlimited buffet (inc. cooked breakfast) and unlimited Costa coffee. My bedroom was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Location good - 5-7 mins walk to Princes Street and 10-15 mins walk to Royal Mile/castle. Haymarket train station 2 mins walk away - for trains to Glasgow (and to Waverley if ... what people say » you don't feel like doing the 20 min walk). Murrayfield and Tynecastle about 20 mins away by foot, if you're catching some sport while in Edinburgh. S - Fabulous hotel. Staff were great, everybody was friendly and polite and went out of their way. Location is super, 2 minutes walk from haymarket station and 15 walk into Edinburgh city centre. Buses stopped outside the hotel to go to Princes street if you didn't fancy the walk. Food was good, we had breakfast and was lovely with lots to choose from. Didn't eat there otherwise but saw the food and it looked very nice. Rooms and beds clean and comfy. Great hotel.

  Everything was perfect. The quiet place and the comfortable room with enough space for luggage or relaxing after a whole day out in busy Edinburgh. We loved the location as well, very close to all you want to see in the city or the live shopping areas close to you. The place was really clean and we loved the modern , brightly decorated room. We would not hesitate to stay there again, it's much better value and more enjoyable than a hotel.

  This hotel is like my view of an old hotel should be steeped in history and splendour. It was a pleasure the rooms are not modern although they do have the touches like the plasma tv and modern bathroom. Overall I would not change anything about the hotel it was perfect.   Central hotel, very comtemporary and the room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant staff were particularly professional and helpful. The bar food was good also.   After reading the reviews,we didnt have high expectations but for us we just wanted a place to put downs our heads for the 2nights we were there.But i have to say the room was immaculate and was way above our expectations.   Seriously, you could not get a better location, it really is in the heart of the royal mile and only 5 mins walk from the railway station. The staff are the most helpful, friendly and accommodating people - nothing was any trouble, they let us check in to the apartment earlier and let us check out later (leaving our cases in their premises both ti... what people say » mes while we shopped, etc). Considering there were 5 girls sharing one bathroom & all getting ready to get out there was never any steam in the ba - The two brothers who own the apartment were so helpful and accommodating. They provided information about where to eat, what to see. From the moment we arrived they made us feel very welcomed. We arrived early before check-in so they moved our apt. Up the line to be prepped. They also stored our bags so we could enjoy the afternoon. The apartment is extremely comfortable (good beds and linen!) and directly overlooks all the bustle and excitement of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The location could not
