in the cottage at the top of the yard set apart from the other
buildings, which was very romantic. It had the most comfortable bed you
can imagine, a roaring wood-burning stove, and a lovely view. Breakfast

You step back into history walking in here - You can feel the atmosphere of an old Hostelry in times gone by - and what a lovely little back terrace to sit and have breakfast or just a coffee. All members of staff were professional and helpful - attentive to our every need, even anticipating the needs of our group. The hotel was delightful, full of character and the location just 5 minutes walk from the town center was ideal. The breakfast was generously proportioned and there was ample choice.

The swimming pool was great in the hot weather - it's not large but you can have a good swim all the same. Breakfast was really tasty and fresh, and the staff were friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room (I was in a twin)was nicely designed and roomy enough. Robes were provided which was great for using the swimming pool. The gardens were nice too.
