A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.

The hotel staff were brilliant and made us feel very welcome, particularly as one of our party had travel delays so they prepared a meal that could be microwaved for them when the eventually arrived. The hotel is pet friendly and really went out of their way to look afrer us and our dogs. Location, staff, and most importantly cleanliness. The room was spotless!. The hotel was in a great location...5 mintues walk from the city centre.Good food, frienly staff. lovely setting. Clean and comfortable, good breakfast. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Perfect location, small and friendly. The location and the size of the room. Good sized breakfast. Comfortable and friendly, a short walk to city centre and Cathedral. Friendly staff. Pleasant friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Courtyard. Shower head fixed so untill water warmed up you had to endure a cold shower. A bit of noise from some machine all during the night.The room was a bit warm because the bathroom radiator would not switchoff, but we opened the windoe to cool down. Noise from people going home at 2.00am in morning after pubs closed . This is not unique about our stay here or reflects on this hotel. We were unable to obtain a sandwich upon arrival, just after 2.30pm,because they had stopped serving lunch. Strong smell of disinfectant on ground floor making it unpleasant to eat or drink. Every door squeaked including the wardrobe. The window was in need of paint. the bathroom radiator was on permanently and it made the whole space far too hot. The bed was uncomfortable. the room was only fit for single occupancy - we had to take it in turns to move around. - there was only one chair.
