Walking distance to nearby castle, Bronte church, and - the staff were very welcoming and accommodating for myself and my boyfriend. We are a young couple and simply had a short weekend break. It was perfect for location and a short walk to everything. I was originally put off by reviews I had read on the Delmont, but please don't let it put you off. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely go back. Breakfast was great and prompt service :)

  We loved absolutely everything! The location overlooking Wensleydale is superb. The bedrooms are bright, warm and comfortable and the shower in the conservatory bedroom was one of the best I have ever used in a hotel. ALL the staff are friendly, helpful, local and provide excellent service. The food, especially breakfast, is great Yorkshire fare... what people say » . The public rooms are warm and welcoming and the barman knows how to serve a drink. Last but very much not least, this is a very dog friendly hotel - We loved almost everything about The Stone House Hotel. The public spaces are charming and comfortable. Our room, one of the smallest, was tastefully refurbished and also very comfortable. The staff, Josh in particular, could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The location is excellent with a lovely one-mile walk across the fields down to the town.   I was pleasantly surprised. Perfectly suitable for an inexpensive stay. I am in the construction industry and just need somewhere to sleep when I cannot drive home but Metro Inns offer more than that. I will be using Metro again very soon. I rated 'fair' for facilities simply because Metro does not offer what most people would consider faciliti... what people say » es, however for me a nice room, with a microwave and a fridge were facilities enough for what I paid. - The rooms have plenty of space, they are clean and tidy, good to find a microwave and a good size TV (not like those other budget hotels with they 20inch tvs) Not a 4star but a very, very good budget hotel. I foubd all the staff very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble, we would stay there again. - The rooms very big, clean and comfortable. It was very affordable, we paid £30 for a double room. It is right by the A1 highway, but it was very quiet. There was a small incident as the boiler broke down before we got there, they offered us a discount, and access to another room with shower. Highly recommended

  This could have been just a pub with rooms in a great location. But in fact it's a really nice place to stay - in a great location! The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you have what you need to enjoy your stay. They were very child-friendly too. The room was excellent: many older pubs have very cramped (if characterful) ... what people say » rooms. Our room was spacious, well-appointed and bright, and the en- suite bathroom was a good size too. The full breakfast was very good and plentifu - Enormous room - twice the size of most hotel rooms - with very comfortable bed and armchair. Good, well-cooked and very generous food, their breakfast will set you up for the whole day.Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. Free public parking in square outside (how long will that last??)
