    Fabulous location! The staff were friendly and attentive, they also responded very well to problems when we checked in, so that said problems were overcome without our stay being spoiled.     Fantastic view from bedroom . Friendly welcome and service , large comfortable dining room with lovely view . Ate dinner there both nights , very good standard of food and very friendly , but efficient service in the restaurant . Breakfast was very good also .     The hotel was clean and comfortable. Food was good in both Morgans and Zest. Complimentary tea and coffee were both good.     Great location, good price, friendly staff, great leisure facilities,lovely modern room with some character. Didn't eat here so cannotcomment about food but menu and bar looked good. - Staff were welcoming, helpful and the food was fantastic and above all the bed was really comfortable. Would heartily recommend.

    I received a very friendly welcome from the staff. The room was clean and well-equipped for the price that I paid. When my circumstances changed and I had to cancel my second night there, the staff were most considerate and helpful. They cleared my room (I had to stay in hospital overnight), kept my things safe until I could collect them, and gave... what people say » me a refund for the night that I did not stay at the hotel. - I found the staff to be very friendly without being fussy. The rooms are excellent and I can say this with experience as I have stayed on numerous occasions. The food is excellent. The hotel is located just outside Abergavenny good views of the countryside.     The Knoll was full of original, eccentric Victorian-style features and was a great place to stay. The room was small but comfortable, and the whole house was very warm and welcoming. Barry was a great host and left me to my own thing when needed, whilst also being available to help and advise when necessary. The proprietor could not have been more friendly, courteous and helpful he was a lovely man. The rooms were clean and all you needed for your stay. The breakfast perfect again excellent value and you couldnt have got better in a first class hotel. Will stay there again should I have to stay in Newport.

    Very friendly and helpful staff Hotel cosy and comfortable Value for money Very clean and nice room People complained about food taking long to be served. We dont think it was that long. The kitchen cater to several venues - lounge, bar and main dining room, so naturally will be bit stretched. But we thought the members of staff have done stirling... what people say » job with making sure we are okay and looked after - Value for money accommodation with excellent decor, comfortable bedroom, newly refurnished and sparkling clean bathroom WITH quilted loo paper, good toiletries and soft fluffy towel. Fab breakfast included in the price too. Also a great place to dine in the evenings, staff were great.
