  Fabulous location! The staff were friendly and attentive, they also responded very well to problems when we checked in, so that said problems were overcome without our stay being spoiled.   Great location, good price, friendly staff, great leisure facilities,lovely modern room with some character. Didn't eat here so cannotcomment about food but menu and bar looked good. - Staff were welcoming, helpful and the food was fantastic and above all the bed was really comfortable. When my circumstances changed and I had to cancel my second night there, the staff were most considerate and helpful.   The Knoll was full of original, eccentric Victorian-style features and was a great place to stay. The room was small but comfortable, and the whole house was very warm and welcoming. Barry was a great host and left me to my own thing when needed, whilst also being available to help and advise when necessary. The proprietor could not have been more friendly, courteous and helpful he was a lovely man. The rooms were clean and all you needed for your stay. The breakfast perfect again excellent value and you couldnt have got better in a first class hotel. Will stay there again should I have to stay in Newport.

Fab breakfast included in the price too. Also a great place to dine in the evenings, staff were great.
