    This is an excellent B&B! Our room opened onto a patio with table and chairs, looking straight out to fields and countryside. The room beautifully decorated, light, modern and bright, and was like a mini-apartment with a small kitchen including sink, hob, microwave, fridge, and plenty of plates and cutlery to allow for takeaways. There is some traffic noise (ment - Our room was very well fitted out - plenty of space and the added facilities of a kitchenette. It looked out over the meadow so the noise from the road was not a problem to us. We were very comfortable and delighted that we ended up staying here. This was not our first choice but we 'lucked out', as it happened.     Gina, the receptionist on duty Friday evening, 5 April 2013, was phenominal. She should be highly commended for her excellent representation of the Premier Inn. My daughter lost her handbag, and Gina spent hours attempting to locate someone within the train systems that could locate it. She provided us with every possible phone number that we coul... what people say » d continue our attempt to locate the handbag. For that alone, I would return to the Premier Inn and highly recommend it to other travelers. Whatever G - We have stayed at this Premier Inn before and are pleased that it has maintained it's standards. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. A good nights sleep, the beds are so comfortable! The Brewer Fayre Pub next door provided excellent food for meals and breakfast. We would definitely come again and recommend you to our friends.Thank you.

    First impressions count!!!When we walked down to our room the corrider area was so fresh not stale like so many places. Likewise in the room. Staff very helpful. Both of us slept like a log . The bed was so comfortable equal to our Tempour bed. Very well presented breakfast. Lovely to see such a choice of fruit nuts etc and plain yoghurts and cere... what people say » als. Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. - Staff were very helpful & friendly,clean throughout,nicely decorated room, comfy bed, good choice for breakfast & I thought the bathroom dbl use door was a fab idea :-) Will be back to stay again, especially as my sister lives just round the corner :-) Also love the late check out & long breakfast times.

    The receptionists were really nice and the receptionist who was there in the evening when we arrived (in the evening, 11/10/2013) was very-very nice and helpful. I want to thank her for that. Location was very very easy to find, breakfast was fulfilling, rooms clean and quiet. - The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was a good ... what people say » size and immaculately clean. The food was of a good standard and the restaurant staff were also very helpful and friendly. Our waiter was excellent although he was 'in training' much to our surprise.

    Hazel & Mike were great hosts. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was trading at the Abergavenny Food Festival and Hazel gave me a flask of tea as she knew how busy we'd be which was a lovely gesture. She also allowed me to store some things in her fridge! Bedroom was cleaned daily. The location is fab - max 10m walk into town centre.... what people say » - Very friendly hosts and provided us with an evening meal without booking ahead, with last minute changes. Helped with bags and drying us out as it was really pouring.

    Everything was so great! We loved Ian and Anika. They did so many special things to make our time in Wales very special. The breakfasts were astonishing, the room totally charming with a lovely comfortable bed and pastoral river view. We were close enough to walk to local pubs, famous walks, Tintern Abbey.     Oh my goodness what did'nt i like! The staff were out of this world amazing! I really can not believe the great service we got, it was the best service ive ever had, better then the atlantis in dudai and thats saying something. I honestly did'nt want to leave we felt so welcomed, nithing was a problem, they catered to are every need & were so ... what people say » happy too, i cant stress enough how amazing there staff were, its restored my faith in the world again knowing theres still people out there like this - The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean and tidy. Majority of the staff polite and friendly but night staff I found a touch rude constantly frowning at us if we made a slight bit of noise as we came in--- which was to be expected after coming from a wedding.     everything was excellent. when we checked in it was really busy,the rugby match with england and wales was on so lots of people there for that, a wedding party of guests and i think there were people for a conference. the lady on the desk was really busy but she was so efficient and friendly. we told her we were going to Bargoed to a family do, sh... what people say » e told us were it was and said that if we got lost to ring her and she would guide us in.we were so immpressed, she went way beyond her duties, she is - Exceptionally clean and comfortable bedroom and en-suite; better than I have experienced in some 4 star hotels. Staff very welcoming and friendly, breakfast excellent - I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    This used to be a Travelodge and having stayed at a number of those I was surprised at how different this place was, the refurbishment has been done to a high standard. We were in the area to attend a weddin - The Hotel Staff were the friendliest, most helpful you would ever hope to meet. The rooms were excellent, spotlessly clean and of very good size. We especially liked the security of the barrier carpark which was completely free of charge. In a very convenient position for access to the main road, with other eating facilities and fuel station within walking distance. If we are ever needing accomodation close to this area again we certainly wont bother looking for any further than this super Best

    All the staff were very friendly, and helpful. We happened to mention we were on the last few days of our honeymoon and they had a lovely bottle of wine and 2 glasses put in our room how very thoughtful.
