Oh my goodness what did'nt i like! The staff were out of this world amazing! I really can not believe the great service we got, it was the best service ive ever had, better then the atlantis in dudai and thats saying something. I honestly did'nt want to leave we felt so welcomed, nithing was a problem, they catered to are every need & were so happy too, i cant stress enough how amazing there staff were, its restored my faith in the world again knowing theres still people out there like this.
all reviews » The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean and tidy. Majority of the staff polite and friendly but night staff I found a touch rude constantly frowning at us if we made a slight bit of noise as we came in--- which was to be expected after coming from a wedding. Great location for Caerphilly castle!! Cheap taxi to and from hotel. We stayed in a family room, which was big, spotlessly clean and as well appointed as many much more expensive hotels. The neighbouring restaurant offered excellent value and good tasty food. The staff we met were friendly and efficient. What more can you ask for?. Really easy to get to, use, and really lovely friendly staff! Lady in reception ( amazing) ! Thankyou! Stayed on Friday 22nd feb 2013! Arrived at 5.30pm. Brilliant stay.! Loves cedar tree aswell. Located next door! Great food. Thankyou all. It was like staying in a posh hotel. Loved the colour and purple lights over bed. Wished I was staying longer. Only gripe was the hard mattress but the rest was great. I Would stay again but take something soft to lay on!!. Staff were particularly pleasant, friendly, helpful, and efficient. Always acknowledged residents passing thro' reception. Breakfast arrangements were convenient, but maybe less so if the weather was inclement . The Premier Inn was very welcoming, clean and comfortable. We were only stopping for one night and visiting relatives nearby so question 3 did not really apply to us. However we did enjoy the room but..... Rooms were a good size able to control heating in the room as normally rooms far to hot the Cedar Tree which is where you could eat was friendly & the food was good & hot when served. Ideal location as family live local so makes visiting easy, always excellent staff made welcome, nice accommodation and really handy with the Cedar Tree there for all food requirements. Everything! The Lenny Henry advert lived up to its promise. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were spotless and beautifully decorated. The inn was ideally located for our purposes. The welcoming staff were excellent, very friendly,cheerful, and helpful. Well done girls. Also the provision of liquid soap, both for the wash basin and shower was a nice touch. Nice cozy place, great helpful staff 10 miles from cardiff, cheaper and more comfortable stay compared to staying in the city. Next to an awesome Pub with good food. Room good size huge comfy bed and a big flatscreen TV. Nice bathroom ensuite Plenty tea coffee in room. Staff were very good and helpful. As mentioned, evening staff not too friendly. We only had 1 set of towels so not enough for us both--- both wanted tea in morning but only one tea bag-- not a massive problem but little things!. I like a soft mattress and this one was firm and hurt my hip so had to sleep on my back. ...The food really let this hotel stay down. We had to eat in the pub next door for breakfast and it left a lot to be desired. The hot breakfast dishes had been sitting out for so long they were dried up and very unappetising. The plates were dirty. They washed a couple for us but they were cold when they handed them over so I wondered if they had been washed in cold water. It was a little disappointing especially as the hotel room had been so lovely. Not anything that I could think off always reliable. Meals are taken at the Cedar Tree next door. The staff were pleasant and helpful, providing the gluten-free bread and soya milk I had requested when booking. However, though the food was plentiful and tasty, because it was a hel-yourself buffet both our evening meal (6.30ish) and our cooked breakfast at 7.30am were warm rather than hot. But this is a minor point and certainly would not dissuade us from staying there again. Nothing about room. Breakfast not so good. Not much choice available food bit cold, and as we were in close to closing time, they didn't top up the orange juice or tea for us which was not really fair as we arrived before 10am.Bit expensive for what we had.Coffee quality needs an improvement. Nothing. No lift for first floor rooms Breakfast food fine, but coffee not hot enough and had to ask staff for additional side-plates. The food in the pub next door is cheap, but very uninspiring - often overcooked and lukewarm. The staff in the pub are definitely not as welcoming as those in the hotel. Given the fact that it's hard to find anywhere decent to eat in Caerphilly, the Cedar Tree could do well to improve. The Cedar Tree restaurant next door is rather run-down, and is badly in need of refurbishment. Customer service there was very poor and is rather letting down the Premier Inn!. The breakfast was lovely however the service was just a touch sloppy and let things down. The breakfast in the adjoining pub was absolutely disgusting. Not just poor, disgusting. The coffee wasn't weak it actually tasted off, the mushrooms were hard and hadn't been seasoned at all, the sausages must have been 30% pork at best, the bacon was fatty and boiled, the scrambled eggs were wet and tasteless. If I'm going to be charged 8 pounds for breakfast it best be better than that. Horrible. Could do with a small coffee table in the room. Prices high for Wi-Fi. quality of food at pub next door. evening meal in the restaurant very poor and will not be using again. advertising free Wifi and then only giving 30 minutes. The mattress was way too hard, a park bench would have been softer,. Breakfast was very poor value for money. price was a bit high. Breakfast was average. breakfast could have been hotter. Breakfast too crowded. tv sound level set too low.told reception but she wouldn'T help. whats the point of A tv with no sound. (I have no hearing problems). location. Two single beds made up in our double room meaning space was compromised. nothing. N/A. I was really looking forward to a bath, but I was put in the disabled room which only had a shower. The. Mattress was a bit hard. The restuarant next door was not very good. We didnt enjoy our evening meal one bit. evening food in the pub. The room was too hot even with the window open & the fan on. Though our children slept, we only managed a couple of hours sleep in the cooler early hours. We mentioned this to staff on leaving who said that they knew there was a problem because other guests had commented. However that was then the end of the conversation & so not wanring to cause a fuss we left, disappointed & uncertain about staying at a premier inn again. Looking a bit tired. Meals taken in adjoining restrauant theCedar Tree were truly awful. Raised serious concern with duty manager of restaurant re shocking hygiene standards at their carvery. I hope this has been actioned and they have improved.i would not eat there again. We had a room suitable for disabled people. The facilities were very good but we found that the room smelled unpleasantly. The restrain was awful, service late, food over cooked and dry. I would never eat there again.
