    The hotel is well located being just off the M4. Being well glazed, you do not hear any traffic noise. The room was quite spacious and the shower was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good with an early option from 6 to 11am which was good as it got really busy from around 8.30am.     Pretty much everything! The people were friendly and very welcoming. We arrived at 23:30hrs with 2 bicycles and they gave us the key to a secure room where we could keep them. The room was very comfortable and spacious, big shower, very clean and newly refurbished probably (?), plus the full English breakfast was indeed a FULL English breakfast... what people say » . Full marks all round! - Top hotel comfort at a budget price. Small hotel spread over adjacent houses, but this was not a problem. Extreamly clean, very comfortable, everything worked. Best hotel shower I've ever had; fast flow, water hot from start. Full English breakfast excellent. One night with breakfast for £ can't go wrong!

    The hotel is fantastic as is its very lovely lady owner. Me and my partner booked in for a weekend for a wedding and had a wonderful break. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated with beautiful furniture. We stayed in a room with a separate bathroom, the style is very typical of a building of its age and so the shower being part of a old fa... what people say » shioned bath was more of a quirk than a hindrance. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were a pleasure to chat to. There was a band playing on the - I loved the old architecture on the house, and how it had been refurbished so that it was clean and comfortable for modern users. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the toilet/bathroom was quaint, comfortable, and functional. I liked how close to the castle, high street, and tourist information area it was. I liked how the owner was so relaxed, and always cheerful. The breakfasts could be light (which we preferred) or cooked, and I appreciated the flexibility. I also liked the live music on

    The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. The room was newly decorated and extremely comfortable - so much so I purchased two duvets from the Head Housekeeper who could not have been more obliging. The pool area was attractive and had all the facilities you could want except something to wring your wet swimming costume out. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to any - The first sight of the hotel was delightful with a vast array of pretty flowers and lavender everywhere . Wonderful pillows comfy bed with quilt , excellent tea/coffee facilities, bathroom lovely with all necessary toiletries provided. The choice of breakfast was excellent. We used the pool and surrounding patio area and found the whole experience very relaxing after a days shopping in Cardiff.

    As a stop-over for our family of 3 adults, young child and small elderly dog, we found Hilton Newport to be: very welcoming and professional; displaying a high standard of service, both at room level and in dining areas; accommodating ones wishes wherever reasonable and providing high levels of accommodation. We had advantage of a very good rate and consider our stay to have provided excellent value f - The price of my stay and the fact that I was a mother staying with my 21 yr old son. The twin room I stayed in was perfect for that situation. The chefs on that night ( 8/10) were brilliant and I am wheat free and dairy free they adapted the menu for me last minute and I felt spoilt. They were very busy that night but still took the time to make me my very own tomato sauce. Massive plus.

    This used to be a Travelodge and having stayed at a number of those I was surprised at how different this place was, the refurbishment has been done to a high standard. The towels are gorgeous and there is the added bonus of having toiletries. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept all through the night for the first time in ages. We were in the area to attend a weddin - The Hotel Staff were the friendliest, most helpful you would ever hope to meet. The rooms were excellent, spotlessly clean and of very good size. We especially liked the security of the barrier carpark which was completely free of charge. In a very convenient position for access to the main road, with other eating facilities and fuel station within walking distance. If we are ever needing accomodation close to this area again we certainly wont bother looking for any further than this super Best

    I liked pretty much everything about this hotel. The period features, the cast iron radiators, the polished stone floors and grand hallway. The tiling in the bar area is beautiful, it was like stepping back in time to c1940, 'Goodnight Sweat Heart', wwii romance, the days of flat caps and Woodbines I just loved it and would stay again.     First impressions count!!!When we walked down to our room the corrider area was so fresh not stale like so many places. Likewise in the room. Staff very helpful. Both of us slept like a log . The bed was so comfortable equal to our Tempour bed. Very well presented breakfast. Lovely to see such a choice of fruit nuts etc and plain yoghurts and cere... what people say » als.     Everything was wonderful.The location was somewhat in the sticks but the instructions as to locate them were easy to follow and the veiws were awsome and peaceful. Our hosts booked us dinner at a quaint village pub a couple of miles away which was superb and great value for money------------especially the bottle of reserve rioja.     Excellent hotel - rooms lovely - we booked a ine night stay as my husband had a business appt in the area which meant I could also play golf. We booked a golf break as included golf and dinner - well worth it. Spa good. Golf course very nice - staff very helpful and friendly - unfortunately weather not kind but still had - The location was lovely with a great view. Room great. Breakfast fantastic. Spa very relaxing and friendly. The management in the Hotel did do all they could to sort out our issues once we highlighted them. They did allow us to stay in the spa for the rest of the day of checkout and seemed to have tried to make sure the staff on reception told clients about the early close of the spa we just got the wrong member of staff that didn't know! The spa was our main feature of why we chose Bryn meadow

    For the price what was on offer was excellent, amazing value. The room, whilst basic in design and decor, was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was superb. The staff were fantastic, very polite and courteous. I stay in hotels 44 weeks a year all over the country from budget to luxury and I was treated so well here I won't hesitate to return and recommend this hotel. The staff could not do enough for me despite booking .com not informing them I had even booked!
