I liked pretty much everything about this hotel. The period features,
the cast iron radiators, the polished stone floors and grand hallway.
The tiling in the bar area is beautiful, it was like stepping back in
time to c1940, 'Goodnight Sweat Heart', wwii romance, the days
of flat caps and Woodbines I just loved it and would stay again. The
food is... what people say » top notch too! -
A gem in a run down town (city). Iconic design and of historic significance. An eample to others to show what can be done. Comfortable and relaxed environment, tastefully restored to its former glory.
Food and service very good and great surroundings/interior. Good wines too.
Do the Transport bridge walk if you dare! (Wed-Sun)
