  This was a perfect break. The staff are such a friendly team and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The views out over the fells make you feel relaxed in the first 5 minutes.   The staff were exceptional in every manner. Each one we spoke to were very polite and accomodating, especially when booking out as we were leaving at 6am the next morning and they prepared a fantastic breakfast which was delivered 30mins before we departed at 5:30am. The reception staff were very polite and helpful, the staff in the breakfast room... what people say » always had time for us, never rushed. - The room was excellent; clean, bed comfy, tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities, information about the area in a folder, room service brilliant, breakfast included was excellent and you could have as much as you liked. Staff very polite and helpful, could not fault anything.

  We had booked an overnight stay on the way back from Scotland. Our choice was an executive room - DB&B at a very good rate. The room was large and very comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the countryside and immaculate gardens. There were lots of 'extras' including superior toiletries, very large towelling robes, slippers, bottled water,... what people say » chocolate, a safe and a coffee pod machine. There were 2 comfortable chairs and an excellent tv. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Dini - The hotel was in a lovely setting in the select village of Wetheral, close to the city of Carlisle. Lovely walks by the river Eden, just minutes away and lots of history in the nearby St. Constantine's cell and the English Heritage abbey gatehouse. The room, although small, was immaculately decorated and very clean with lovely white crisp linen and soft fluffy towels.   From the moment my girlfriend and i arrived to the moment we left , we were treated to a first class service , the staff were friendly and helpfull , the rooms were beautifuly presented and clean . The hotel was faultless in every way , we are certainly going to go back . We can also highly recommend the restaurant .
