The owners were prepared to drive me to a conference if there wasn't a bus. This is an establishment that goes out of its way to make your stay comfortable.

  Amanda was very welcoming and the homemade cakes were a nice touch. Our room was bright, clean and fairly spacious and breakfast was excellent. The B&B is in a quiet location but close to the town centre, which has plenty of shops and restaurants. The room was comfortable and well stocked with hot drinks and cake! The provision of proper wine glasses was thoughtful. The place is very well located in easy walking distance of Keswick's shops, pubs and restuarants and also for the mountains.

  Everything was perfect. Martin (the owner) allowed us to leave our bags earlier than check-in hours, so that we wouldn't need to carry them around. The room (The Grasmere) and the bathroom were very clean and nicely decorated, they were really comfortable and cosy and had everything we needed. It was really nice of him to allow us leave our bags in the dining room on the last day because o - We enjoyed EVERYTHING! We stayed two nights - 20 and 21 July- (Martin was a very knowledgable and brilliant host who made us feel so welcome. He should get an Oscar for his laugh also! The mattress was especially extremely comfy... A real pleasure. It was also good, as the B&B was in a very quiet location only 5 minutes away from the town centre, and with good street parking.   I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, wonderful choice and quality of breakfasts. The owner, told me he used to own a fish restaurant so that's obviously why the fish dishes are so perfect. Modern, bright up to date bedroom with a fabulous power shower. I have stayed at many B and Bs in this area and this surpasses the lot (and it's a lo... what people say » t cheaper than many of the others) Great location. - Great location. Safe and easy walk to both Windermere and Bowness. Food was unbelievable. Huge choice and excellent quality. Dining room is modern and there was a good atmosphere at breakfast time. Staff were efficient and friendly. Our budget room was clean and cofortable. Perfect for our stay. Limited parking on the premises but lots of free and unrestricted parkining across the road.

  Owners - Simon and David extremely friendly and helpful. Our first time to the lakes and as well as serving up fantastic breakfasts they gave us great guidance on some really good walks. Location is great - 5 mins walk to loads of great restaurants. We had the loft room and our teenage daughter the small double. We had a really good time .... and plan to go back soon. - The owners, Simon & David, were very friendly & welcoming. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of dishes.   Alison was very welcoming and helpful. Just having had a foot operation she was keen to provide any help needed. The room was quiet and the bed large and comfortable. The en-suite had everything needed, with a good shower & hot water. The whole place was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was substantial and not greasy.
