The room was sparkling. I had the best nights' sleep I have ever had in a hotel - the temperature could be controlled from the room, and the woindow left open if desired as the room looked out onto a very quiet square. Newly renovated bathroom, big flat-screen TV, new A/C unit. Staff was very friendly, even when we arrived at 2:30am. Great location near tube stations, restaurants, and the park. Central London location, close to Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall, although not that close to any tube station. I had a single room with ensuite, which was nice. Can access rooms via a lift, which is good. There is a walk to breakfast, but not a problem. Liked the communal atmosphere - the uni bar is at the bottom of the courtyard and people sit around on the grass enjoying a beverage.

I loved the wooden floors, and the modern touches in the hotel which were interspersed with traditional embellishments of the original building. I wou
