Hotel cleaning lady bundled our pijamas together with the laundry - and they could not find it?! Ridicoulous... Very small room, a bit cool (November), no TV remote (they brought one after a while), tiny wash-hand basin, interesting choice of bathroom stuff (we got bath stuff but no bath just a shower; the tiny piece of soap dissolved completely after a couple of uses and was gone before I left; I'm sure they would have brought more but still.). It's a pity because there is much that is good about the hotel. On the other hand, I selected the below hotel for the advance booking rate for the good price which was eventually for a room in the basement next to the toilets (not equivalent to the standard we expected). Additionally, there was no heating in the room (however after complaining, they provided us with an electric heating device). There's a problem with this hotel which is hard to define. On paper, itticks all the right boxes- nice room, clean, not too expensive forLondon. But the experience there is not that nice and this hotel doesn'tmake your heart beat when you see it from a distance after a long day'swalk. They lack this elusive factor that upgrades your stay from just abed for a night to a nice experience.
