  We had a great time at this hotel. We booked the hotel as it was so close to the royal albert hall and was a little concerned about the some of the negative reviews the hotel got. (old,need of refurbishment etc). But this hotel was the best we've stayed in london for the price. 1.   The hotel was close to the tube and several museums and shops. The hotel staff, especially Lawrence, were very helpful about getting around, etc. - The staffs are very very friendly and helpful. They are probably the most welcoming people we met in London..
