    The Dene Guest House was the perfect choice. Not only I was provided with a clean, spacious and beautifully designed en-suite bedroom with great views but I had as well the valuable help of Ilio and Hamish in every possible aspect (from giving advice on how to spend leisure time to pointing me in the right direction whilst I was looking for a job ... what people say » in the city). The owners are extremely friendly yet never intrusive or insistent. I am already planning to go back soon! - Perfect location, close to centre of town. Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and had all I needed, the house itself is a beautiful old Edinburgh town house. Fantastic breakfast and I look forward to staying again for my next great night out in the big Toun!

    The owner was so friendly and really made you feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh).

    The location is fantastic, just 100 meters from Haymarket station and also easily accesible from the airport. Besides, the main attractions are also located within walking distance. No sweat! The breakfasts were great and they even made other guest's meals that weren't even on the menu!! They both work really hard and long hours and always have a smile on their faces. They made the start of our trip to Edinburgh.
