  My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. There are a number of nearby pubs, and a Marks & Spencer across the street if you require groceries. Great location for business in London; easy for tube to anywhere (from Barbican, five minutes walk away). I would definitely use this hotel again, it was even - Great position, Shoreditch is full of pubs, clubs and restaurants and very close to the City!
