  The quirkiness; if you don't like quirky then don't stay here! The staff were young, helpful and keen to make our stay a pleasant one. We chose a room without a window which was fine for 1 night.   You have absolutely everything you need if you are not easy going. It might be a bit cleaner but i didn't care because there were much more pluses then minuses. I appriciated the perfectly equipped kitchen, nice design, very comfortable beds, hot water at any time. Tip for arriving: if you use underground - go to mile end station and then - Great bijou apartment in Hackney London. These sweet apartments offer all you need for a self catering stay in London. We were lucky to have an apartment with a terrace. The apartments have all you require and are located an easy bus trip away from central London - numerous bus services are available across the road. There are numerous supermarkets close by with a Tesco express across the street. These apartments offer great value for money!

  We stayed on three occasions for a total of eleven nights during June & July 2013. The hotel is situated in a "business area" with the popular Borough Market nearby. It is within walking distance of the underground and many of London's tourist attractions. We always felt safe walking in the area. Each room we stayed in was different ranging from typical "European" size to larger than what you would e - Great location on the Thames, views of St Paul's , the Gherkin and The Shard. Staff exceptionally friendly and happy. The comfiest bed ive ever slept in, much better than the 5 star knightsbridge hotel we stayed in earlier in year! Great breakfast in the Anchor pub next door. Breakfast room upstairs with river & terrace views . Lots to do in area, took the river boat down to the Eye (you can also walk this in 15- 20mins) then 10 mins on foot to Horseguards parade and onto Trafalgar Square.
