Maybe a little warm but a fan was provided.   The Elgano exceeded all expectations. My stay was on a weekend when the Welsh rugby team were playing so it was a busy weekend in the City centre. I arrived at 7.30pm on Saturday and even though I arrived at what seemed a busy time in their restaurant/bar I was greeted with a hello by smiling and courteous members of staff and checked in promptly.... what people say » The main course meals looked fantastic as a table of ten were just being served in their near full restaurant. Immediately I thought the hotel was - I really loved this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and cosy. Breakfast was rich - in comparison to what I was used to in London. A good choice from cereals, toasts with jam and English breakfast. The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from the university and from the city center, so you can walk everywhere (except for Cardiff Bay, that's a bit further away but there's regular train service in the city).   Fantastic, well appointed accommodation. We were lucky enough to have a south-west facing apartment overlooking the river and enjoyed each evening with a bottle of wine on the balcony. Extremely clean, beautifully furnished and very quiet. Merchants Quay was about a 15 minute walk away, and the Town Centre a similar distance in the other directi... what people say » on. We are looking forward to our next break with Space in the City. We didn't get chance to enjoy the leisure facilities but they looked very good. - Cardiff is such a small city by square miles that really any location is a good location. Our apartment was a 5 minute walk to Mermaid Quay which is very family friendly yet also accommodates a young nightlife. We walked over their both nights and found many options to eat and drink at. Overall the apartment was in good condition and our contact person was very responsive to emails and phone calls.

  I am disabled and don't get out of the house very often. and very rare get a good nights sleep. the comfort of the room and bed was excelent .I had the best sleep the night I stayed at the Hilton that I have had in months . a wonderful hotel.   Location was brilliant. Studio room was perfect for 2 people, it was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities that you need. We would use the apartments again and have recommended them to friends and family. - We stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment. It had everything you would need for a self catering stay. The apartment was furnished to a high standard . It was in an amazing location just opposite the Millenium Centre and was an easy 25 min walk to the centre. The quay area has a fabulous assortment of bars/restaurants/pubs to choose from. As well as a Sainsbury's express below the apartment.

The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable and there was extra pillows if you needed them . The bath was very comforable and quick filling. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast choices were excellent, with some healthy options. We were allocated a massive double room, (which was also designed to accommodate any disabled guests with wheelchairs) The bathroom was also very spacious indeed - and was a wet room style, with a very efficient shower. The hotel is very conveniently located for the major shopping precincts.

  We found the complex easily and were swiftly met by friendly staff who showed us to the secure parking bay and our apartment. This was very clean with a lovely view towards the bay, really quiet with nice big Windows to open. The underfloor heating kept it a nice temperature and the lovely bathroom offered a shower and bath with soap and shower ge... what people say » ls and fresh clean towels. Having booked parking we saved time and money on finding any in the city, which was just 15 minutes away as was the Bay an - Absolutely love this place. I felt as if I just changed residence. The staff were very prompt prior to arrival and took care of any questions, concerns, and had good advice for venues. They also provided 25% off at 5 restaurants and pubs down by the wharf. The wharf was about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The city center was about 10 minutes walk in the opposite direction. It was very comfortable stay.
