Stayed for one night. From booking in to leaving each one of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable and there was extra pillows if you needed them . The bath was very comforable and quick filling. We went to the Thyme restaurant in the hotel. There were a lot of people in the hotel (like us)l that were going to see Mrs Browns boys, but all the bar and restaurant gave excellent service ensuring that each and every hotel guest had everythi.
all reviews » We loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast choices were excellent, with some healthy options. We were allocated a massive double room, (which was also designed to accommodate any disabled guests with wheelchairs) The bathroom was also very spacious indeed - and was a wet room style, with a very efficient shower. The hotel is very conveniently located for the major shopping precincts. A young lad called Tom was on the restaurant for breakfast on 23/7/13. he was very attentive re all aspects of his work. Proactive rather than reactive and always looking for things to do and ways to improve guest experience. He is allegedly a student in Tourism Management. If his present attitude is maintained, I have no doubt he has chosen the correct career and will be very successful at it. The staff were very helpful and polite,the only drawback as we went to a concert when we came back the bar was closing. Compared to a Travelodge which the bar stays open when people area in the bar area and snacks are also available which is very popular. The amount of revenue lost on that night as we sat there chatting as people kept coming upto the bar but it was closed and the staff gone. After a hard day of driving, the Premier Inn Cardiff City Centre was so refreshing. Our check in was friendly, efficient, and informative. We opted to eat in the restaurant and they made the reservations for us. The restaurant staff was wonderful. Friendly and fun, dinner was great. The room was cool (to our preference) and clean and comfortable. We'll stay here again. The Staff were very pleasant and helpful from the time we walked through the door. The hotel is very conveniently placed in the Centre of the busy City. We stayed on Black Friday and not a noise could be heard. Beds are heavenly and the Premier all-you-can-eat breakfast for £8.25 was fab. Excellent value all round. Location excellent - High Up floors have City views. Self Registration at Reception is a doddle - satff are on hand to assist. Breakfast was great and good selection and more so long hours till 11.30. New Hotel for Premier and all the Brand range are inclusive. Staff were in place if required and not intrusive. We were arrive early from long travel - glasgow. The staffs were very nice and gave us early check in. The lobby and room were clean. We order 2+2 room and got a wide-10th floor room with scenery of beautiful cardiff. The location is 5 minutes walk from shopping centre. I will stay here again if we go to cardiff. Location was excellent, just a short walk from Cardiff Central, next to Cardiff Queen Street and bus stops to Cardiff Bay area. Walking distance to shops and Castle too. Staff really helpful and friendly. Room large, clean and comfy. Breakfast and evening meal were both excellent, loads of choice and good price. We stayed here whilst visiting for an arena event. We were very pleased with our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful, room was immculate and comfortable. My young children running around occassionly were not a problem. We would definately stay again and would reccomend. Breakfast was lovely too. Really lovely and clean hotel, all you can eat breakfast was great we didn't want to stop eating. Loved the location so close to everything and you could walk. Our room was really spacious and light. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The lifts were really quick and no waiting. Breakfasts were delicious - Costa coffee was a bonus Even though the hotel was busy it didn't feel that way - apart from at breakfast, and staff handled this effectively and with a smile. I had seen them in other places and though hmmmm! maybe not so premier, but when i stayed at the one in Cardiff - the rooms were big, very clean and very centrally located. In the end we used towels to cover the toilet to try and drown out the noise which put a downer on our otherwise wonderful stay. It would be difficult to find anything to dislike. Nothing to dislike - Place was typical of all the othr Premier Inns and good value - more so if the early deals are taken up. Sorry no dislikes :). Not enough pillows we like 2 each but could have easily asked for another one I suppose. Only downside everything else was great. 'Toiletries in the room'-just 2 dispensers! One of soap at the washbasin and another in the shower. Did not know there was not a car entrance to hotel and being new to city were unaware of this and drove around for sometime trying to find it. If you were staying for more than a few days a fridge and safe would be beneficial. The price of breakfast was expensive so we went elsewhere for half the price. No private/Hotel car park. but within easy walking distance to train station or 24hr car park. N/A. noisy hotel room doors (especially in early hours of morning!). We were only able to spend one night there. Nothing. Nothing at all. Bar closed at 12:30 - in Ireland the hotel bar doesn't close! No food served before 6pm. no car parking facilities. yes there was a ncp nearby, but i do prefer a hotel to have its own car park. Wish there were electrical outlets in the bathrooms+. Slightly more expensive than usual because of activities in the city. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever. The fact that we could only stay for one night!!. At the start when checking in they were trying to charge me alot more money from what I booked it for . But it all got sorted in the end apart from that wee hickup I really can't say anything bad about the place ...... Car parking in a nearby NCP site at £11 a day was expensive. nothing. [we did not have our car with us but that was no problem as we were 2 mins from shops ] some would find it a pain as there is no on site parking but a car park near by. Hardly worth mentioning, but an ice machine would have been nice. Can't recall anything spacific. Free access on internet is limited only for 1/2 hour. would have liked to have hot chocolate in the room in addition to the tea and coffee facilities. Having to wait outside for taxi (road about 20 yds in front of hotel) - ok then, but not if it was raining. We ate in the restaurant on the evening of 2nd March, and 2 of our party ate the chicken (one fajita and one pizza) but both had an upset stomach and vomited the following day. Not a great end to our stay. No car park attached but ok if have little luggage.
