the disabled accommodation was the best we have ever used very roomy and well placed the bed comfortable shower room exceptional, good access to room and bar the food was good and not expensive, the locals were friendly the staff excellent and attentive, the host was , 1st rate, great company entertaining and would bend over backwards to help us.

A rare Gem, a typical English country Lodge and all that goes with it, Extremely friendly, high comfort rooms and excellent .. Excellent food ! As a seasoned traveller I have not stayed at a better Lodge. I have already booked rooms for our Company for it's next contract in that area. Outstanding and excellent value for money.

Although the hotel were very busy engaged with a wedding party they were attentive and ensured that I was accommodated appropriately; allocating me a room away from the main dining room. I was provided with free room service and a breakfast pack as I was leaving before breakfast. The staff / service was excellent. I will be staying there again when on business.

Friendly staff, could not do enough for us. Room was spotless and bed comfy. As it was Saturday, we were made aware of the live band night, as soon as we go there, this is a pub after all. People should not complain about that, it was quiet once it finished. The breakfast was the best ever, nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again. -

I must say that I found the Hotel to be excellent value with some fantastic professional staff. Oli the Shift Manager on the evening of my stay was particularly welcoming, professional and nothing was too much bother.
I must say that overall the hotel, restaurant, food quality rooms and staff have set a very high standard and I will return on a weekly basis whilst I work in Lincoln for the next 12 months.

The Poplars is a very nice place to stay. The owner Martin was very helpful and friendly and the room and en suite bathroom were very good. However the room was also cold and a draft came in through the old windows. An update to modern double glazing is definitely needed. The vehicle entrance to the car park is tight and awkward... Definitely not for the nervous driver. If you can look past those two small negatives you will enjoy your stay very much

We stayed at the Willoughby for one night. Both rooms were spotlessly clean, modern and well decorated. Not to mention comfortable.
My wife and I's room in the courtyard was spacious with a lovely en-suite bathroom.
Staff were extremely friendly, the variety of real ales was superb and the food was absolutely fine.
Would definitely visit again.

Friendly, attentive and informative greeting on arrival, including a welcoming pot of tea. Even our well behaved West Highland terrier was made most welcome. Rylton House, off the main road, in a quiet lane, has pleasant gardens and grounds, lovely, well equipped, comfortable bedrooms, compact ensuites and the breakfast was absolutely excellent.
